That’s a fact! Both my parents are deceased and I feel like my foundation is in shambles. But, one thing that keeps me going is, I have changed so many generational curses this far and I’m gonna keep pushing! I’m determined to NOT have the life my parents had. It wasn’t until I moved away to FL in my own and started learning new skills that I grew up poor.

Nathaniel Olliff Save a lot of money. All you can save in 1 year. Make a bank account and save the money there and start all over again. Making another bank account at the end of the other year and so on. There are so many bank's. Make bank account in € £ $ and keep all the money in the bank. Never touch it. One of your bank account, will be your retirement plan. All that money, could help you, at your retirement to start a small business, like a fast food or a market, bar, etc. Keep your money, away from your woman. Woman's are with you, just for the money. If they divorce you. Make sure you have secret money saved in bank's, blame you lost the money at the casino, save cash. Woman will divorce you, you pay a lot of money for raising the kid's after divorce, the kid's you will see once a month a few minutes, the kid's who are educated by the woman, who say your a alcoholic and good for nothing. Be rich, don't worry about tomorrow. Work, save money and do everything for yourself. Nobody will.

They forgot number 16. You go to a job you absolutely hate every day. And by the way, I disagree with #11. Your car being older than 10 years doesn't mean anything. Now I have Netflix and Amazon stock and 10 other stocks, all of which pay dividends, and now I'm every more motivated to save. Though I do disagree with the video on the car thing, but because I live in NYC. I have a 2007 RAV4 which looks new still, and had "only" 115K miles. I recommend reading the book “the millionaire mindset“. It examines the habits and patterns of wealthy people, and some of them may surprise you. This list is mostly correct except for using coupons and shopping sales. The majority of millionaire households do use coupons for groceries and other consumables, and they funnel the savings toward investments and college funds for their grandkids

Idk..... are you able to verify that its "the majority"? I don't doubt alot do but for the multimillionaires i just feel like it wouldn't be practical, you've probably gone out of your way to save a dollar but i doubt you have or even would to save a single penny, they're on the level of saving pennies and of course that would add up but when they're making 4 digits a day, relatively its still pennies to them, i think they think in terms of % not $

After viewing this video I can admit that the author is poor too. Rich people are rich because they know the value to the money. I know one guy, he invested in the advertising campaign of my project few years ago, and he is very simple guy. He often wears clothes from Walmart, he can use public transport sometimes. He’s multimillionaire, and yeah, his clothes are cheap, but he loves Swiss watches, he often wears ~$400-800K watch. Swiss watch is an investment, they are getting more expensive every year. What I’m trying to say is that there’s nothing bad if you’re using discount coupons or driving a 10+ years car, that’s the best you can do now, and that’s smart. If the author of this video suddenly became rich, she’s going to spend them all in few month.

When you are poor, you prefer to pay for food not for detergent. really im not joking. Or in another case, if you dont have a house and you have to pay every month a rent. And you dony have a lot of money of course you will prefer not to stay in good conditions, like a good place in town, or somewhere where your bath looks ok, you will accept all this stuff just to pay less . I imagine that you dont have to deal with all troubles, im from an european country... a middle developed one. And this for a lot of us its something that you have to deal with. Im writing this just to make you understand this. P.s hope you will never have to deal with stuff like this. But be aware anyway.

That's a myth. Social Security is paid for by people currently working, on the unenforceable promise that those workers will have their retirements paid for by the next generation of workers. But, even if it were a scheme whose beneficiaries had themselves paid for it, it still would not be earned in the true sense, because, when the government forces people to do something, it is not earned. The only way to earn something is through voluntary action in the form of the free exchange of value for value. In a free market, some people would choose not to purchase a free-market equivalent of Social Security. We have no way of knowing who would and who would not.

Im from romania. You are perefectly right but what happens when the population of your country goes abroad. And they dont pay your country's taxes anymore? The gouverment doesnt have enough money to pay for the old ones. This is actually what happens in my country. And actually the think really serious if they will have money to pay for the next generation... people that work now pays for people who are old now too. But what happens when you have an old population... how can be possible one young people to sustain 1,5 old people. Sounds crazy but this really happens in some countries. You never know the situation of your country in the next 20years.

lassus prophetam: No, they didn't "pay into social security". The government paid itself by TAKING a portion of the money you earned. You "pay into" private, consentual investment. When you die, you can leave that money to your kids, the local church, your cat, whatever. Try telling the Social Security Administration you want to leave the amount they took off of you for 40 years to go to your kid. See what they tell you.

Also many people use their commute time for business calls. My father taught me to think of credit cards as short term loans. This was before pint programs so my spending mostly earns a list range but 1% back is still better than paying interest!

Sidney Gouge She's making a generalization. BTW stereotypes are based in fact. Fact when I've had the misfortune to have to step in poor people's homes. I was afraid to step in most of them. They don't clean. Walk in with their shoes. Wash hands in the kitchen sink. Use industrial strength air fresheners instead of cleaner & elbow grease. Garbage on display in a big overflowing container. Don't wash windows. I can't wait for the haters to prove me oh, so wrong. BTW I'm on an extremely modest income. But I don't make frivolous purchases. I spend money to reinvest in creating beautiful things I can resell.

Poor is someone who doesn't have anything...no roof over their head, no car, no clothes...just homeless. What they described was the lower working middle class or someone who is just always broke. It's a big difference.

Okay, some of this is straight nonsense. I'm a retired engineer. I own several McDonald's franchises and investment properties. I also have large amounts invested in various securities....I still illegally stream 99.99% of the content I consume. Why the hell would I pay for an episode the next day when I can watch it for free the next hour?

I am 40 and retired ive only worked 19 years my whole life. I am not rich but I did this smart. I am buying a house working on this goal now. I have a guaranteed check but im still working to work out the details with my house and then when I finally finish what I am working on now I will quit the two jobs. My income is 2,707 a month with everything combined and most of my income from my two jobs is pure profit

My car is a 2003 Benz, and yeah, maintenance can be expensive, but those cars were built to last... modern day Benz aren't as reliable as their predecesors anymore. So Number 11 isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Just because you look for a sale doesn't automatically make you "poor" just makes you thrifty. Keanu Reeves lives a simple lifestyle and lookes for deals/ sales. Hes not poor.

I think poor people are compulsive buyers. Buying things you don't need or will never use is plain dumb. frivolous purchases are useless self gratification. Have a good wardrobe practice. If you buy a new shirt throw the oldest or least used one away to make space for it, shoes, trousers, under wear all clothes need replacing from time to time but not all the time. You will think twice about buying some new trainers if you have to throw there equivalent ones away when you get home. Do not hoard stuff ever. Have what you love, love what you have.

It would make more sense for a rich person to be a compulsive buyer, as they may actually afford it. You wouldn't buy unnecesary stuff if you can barely afford the neccesities. But then again I know someone who is often poor because they are a compulsive buyer. So its partially true

True BUT, whats the point of having money if you dont use it to buy things that'll make you happy. Its really more about finding the right balance than just completely doing without compulsive buying
@nealthedeal1
@nealthedeal1 6 жыл бұрын
Yes we are talking about money and happiness. If you really like something and go out of your way to buy it then it's not really compulsive purchase. Foe example every week or less we go shopping and it is always better to eat before you go because you are more likely to spend time checking out some bargains and reading the labels than if you hungry. Take your time to decide what's the best option and as i said before have a good wardrobe policy. It's not that poor people are poor because they want to be but being more sensible with your money when you have less just makes sense. It's all about saving little bits of money here there and everywhere to buy something that you really want that will keep you happy for years rather than weeks or days. Food again always choose the best and freshest you can which nowadays is not so difficult just stay away from prepared meals or fast food it may be cheap quick and easy but we all know about that story.
