I would add these to the list as well. Unrealistic expectations, regrets, grudges and resentment, fear of change, youthful insecurities, rigid habits, worrying about the future, pleasing everyone, perfectionism and overcommitment. Remember, letting go of certain things is a personal and ongoing process. It's about creating a mindset that promotes well-being, fulfillment, and positive growth as you navigate the different stages of life.

I'd add.............Let go of the desire to be loved, accepted, appreciated by others. Detachment is the gift that keeps on giving and when you expect nothing from other people you'll realise the amazing power inherent in this way of being. No matter anyone says or does, no matter what they dont do or dont say, none of it matters, nothing can throw you when you practice detachment. Trust me this saves so much trouble and drama in your life, its peace, equilibrium and tranquility.

I am happily married, when people ask me what is my secret to a happy marriage i tell them...dont get married. 😂..Marriage is incredibly hard and it takes a certain kind of old school thinking to make it long lasting and fulfilling. You need to be incredibly selfless and patient to have a happy marriage, if my wonderful husband dies tomorrow i will never ever marry again. Heck if i could go back in time to my younger self i would also say do not marry....maybe...unless if i meet my husband again i would marry him again. But no one else. =]

Getting older, I've started to let go of that fear of missing out and found joy in it instead. It's freeing! Now, I focus more on what I really want to do, not just scrolling through what everyone else is doing online. I make time to unplug and do things I love, like outdoors and creating content. It's all about enjoying the moment and feeling at peace with where I am. Your video really reminded me to appreciate my own path, without worrying about everyone else's. Loved it!

The value in letting go of the need to be liked cannot be overstated. Currently, people are compromising their personal value system due to the pressure of social media. Trying to fit in or be liked by people they don't even know.... this ethereal crowd. Group-think pressure. Breaking free of that is a matter of self-respect.

I just subscribed and so far, enjoy your wisdom. I've pretty much lived my life as you suggested. No debt, married 50 years to my sweetheart, great family, no debt (don't believe in it, never did) always lived in my means. Still learning, working and investing. And not because I have to but because I want to. I love life, it's a gift, every minuet and every hour. There are no promises for a tomorrow, I can attest to that. I'm a walking miracle! I can count on one hand who my good friends are and my family are the best people I could ever wish for. I'm fortunate and I thank God every night for it!!

❤ all you wrote I feel the same way. I believe in our Great Creator "God" not worried what others think say everyone to their own. I thank God for everything & more & truly believe "appreciation" is the true key to life as if you appreciate you don't destroy...your life, others or the world. Have it all if you have love. Family to me is everything. I am not worried about who is my friend or not I do what I like 😂 I say mix with positive good beings stay away from toxic their problem. Love life it's great like you say & true gift...we have to run with it make most if it every day & count our blessings 🌟

I would state "Special Days" differently. Don't wait for special days to celebrate, but creating more special days is a way of celebrating. I observe all kinds of little holidays in little ways now. For example, today is the Feast of St. Bridget, one of Ireland's lesser known patron saints, and it's the day I plant vegetable seeds indoors that I'll transplant to the garden on St. Patrick's Day.

You are brilliant have a wonderful brain please do not pull yourself down as I can tell that you are a special human being with all you write & way yoy expressed yourself. We all have special gifts don't have to have fancy degrees after our names. Tell yourself "all's well" everything in my life is working out for my (our) highest good, out of this situation only good can come for me (us), I am (we are) safe ❤🤗 Don't feel anyone is above you in anyway you're great. Love yourself, look after yourself. Rise above it all. You could gradually wean yourself off medications I believe if you want to. I feel (have witnessed) some meds given can be detrimental to life especially if they are anti-psychotic ones, even a Counsellor years ago told me this herself. Mind over matter powerful can heal your entire body life yourself. You are stronger than you think. 🙏 💜

I often imagine looking down at humanity (observing) and seeing how people worry about a special drinking cup or some clothing piece someone decided to wear. How silly! We are all vulnerable, mortal creatures. Only 3-4 generations down the line we will be forgotten. Do you know or remember your great grandmother or her grandparents? We are insignificant beings. Don’t take yourself or others so seriously. Focus on making life easier, helping, living…
