Here's another fact you didn't know , Ratan Tata once had gone to ford CEO to sell his own company (Tata motors) to ford but he laughed at him saying why should we buy your cheap Indian company? that makes cheap quality cars. Later in 2008 when jaguar was under huge losses Ratan Tata bought jaguar from ford (Reverse merger) and the rest is history.

Jaguar has been blowing up lately. Their cars still depreciate like crazy, but I'm going to guess that that's going to end soon. Idk if they have a new marketing team or something, but their brand is increasing a lot in terms of recognition and people regard it highly in terms of performance and luxury. I think the F-Type model launched the company. You brits probably knew about Jaguar since forever, but they're making big waves in the States from my perspective. I'm seeing more and more Jags on the streets of Southern California.

I've had lots of Jaguar XJs constantly since my first in 1981. I'm afraid to say that ALL of them have been very reliable and this includes a modded Chaseur Daimler 4 Ltr with twin turbo chargers and race mods, 3 V12s and 2 more recent XJRs with superchargered 4 litre engines. I currently own the latest XJL and it is amasing. Those of you that have not driven or owned a Jaguar should not jump to conclusions about this iconic car and slag it off. Mercs, Bmws and Audis are all fine cars but they are not a Jaguar. Over the last week, I drove about 800 miles in the UK, - I saw hundreds on the previous models and only one new XJ! it's very satisfying to drive such a super car and get so many thumbs up and admiring comments and attention, - even in the middle of Liverpool last Friday morning at 1.30am!

I'm currently on my 2nd Jaguar, the 1st was a S Type that I drove for 8 years with no mechanical breakdowns. I currently own a Supercharged XF. I love it as well and haven't had any mechanical breakdowns. I'm hoping that my next car will be a XJL if they are still called that 150K miles from now. Gotta love a Jaguar

I didn't know the correct color name, but last week I inspected a car like yours. My grandson was testing a 2004 XJR (silver/black), super nice car. He ended up getting a good buy on the car, and he loves it. At the same location was a car like yours, good condition but an air ride problem. I came so very close to taking it home. It also was a Vanden Plas. That cream interior looks good enough to eat.

Ever paid attention when owning a car, after about ten years of age all different models look out dated, falling apart interior, etc. The reason I love jag is they look good, whether ten years old, or new. I've owned several and currently own a supercharged XF Black and its still an amazingly beautiful car, constant compliments. Jaguar is the epitome of post war perfection. The average mans expensive car.

I bought an XJL Portfolio, and have had no issues at all. Everywhere you go people notice, they are such long, beautiful and fast sedans and the interiors are hand crafted like jewelry. I highly recommend such a car because nobody has them and they aren't one of dozens on the roadway. Mine had 37,000 miles and I bought it two years ago. Good luck you won't regret the purchase.

When I take my Range Rover to service I get as a loaner a Jaguar F Pace, which is my favorite. I even thinking getting one with the SVR package after my Range Rover. Jaguar kept the luxury and improved their engines without sacrificing the speed. Plus is super quiet and comfortable for long rides. The interior is soft and looks like a Ritz Carlton on wheels. So what’s not to love about Jaguar.

Love these cars. The XKE has always been a favorite of mine and my wife. Can't afford on XKE so I bought my wife and 95 XJ6. Then a 2000 4.0 S-type. But she needed a winter car, so we picked up a 2004 3.0 X-type. We also have a 2000 XJ8 and my son owns an 05 X-type. What I don't understand is the X-type has received a ton of bad press. We absolutely love this car. It handles beautifully and really comes alive at higher speeds. Is very comfortable for commuting and much better on gas than the others. But far and away, the XJ's are the best ride. Better then any other car I've ever driven. Ride is rock solid and smooth and corners like a sports car.

Ref the XKR that was used in the James Bond film. Yes, it is on display at the Beaulieu motor museum. However, , Beaulieu is pronounced as “Be-you-lee” . Baloo was a Bear in the Jungle book 😁

@@3ramafia982 can be.. I just replaced a turbo for 2800 CAD . Including labor and 1 year warranty on it. Full service was 384.( Oil plus filters- air, fuel, and cabin.) Done by independant specialist. Not the dealers. All this at dealers would be around 5 grand.

You guys didn't talk about the JAGUAR HYPERCAR CX-75 ....A 1.6L Car with 500+ HP from gas and 400 HP from electric....A 900HP HYPERCAR ........"a record breaking 320 horsepower per litre of gas"..... But ,Only 5 prototypes were built for their 75 the anniversary....It is better than laferrari, p1 and 918 hypercars....

We had a series 3 XJ12, when I was about 6 years old. Loved the car, it was large and comfortable. About a year later, I accidentally rolled it back into a fence and broke the tail lights, much to the anger of my father. My wife and I bought an XJ X351 a few months ago.
