Why did the God and creator of this universe create a 45 pound wolverine to possess the ability to kill a 1200 pound polar bear and 1000 pound grizzly? Which , according to the testaments and writings of a variety of both American trappers and hunters as well as Inuit and Eskimo seer documents has actually happened. In most cases I’ve read? On such a subject? Inuit Indian and Eskimo elders who testify they witnessed tiny wolverines actually kill 1000 pound grizzly bears and 1200 pound pound polar bears all usually say, for some reason, ,,the Wolverine bites and plunges it’s long teeth into the neck and eventually jugular of the bear. And it is Interesting how the Eskimo Inuit and Indian writers and writings I’ve read on that subject all seem to agree in unison that the Wolverine simply hangs onto the vulnerable part of a polar bear or grizzlies neck and ferociously keeps Biting down into the neck of the bear til it penetrates into the jugular of the bear and the bear is then dead. Which usually takes a few minutes. While the bear thrashes about wildly. The Wolverine still fearlessly viciously hangs on in such a fashion. If it’s going for a kill. I have read that. In various rare different Eskimo Inuit and Indian writings. On such a subject. Very interesting how each writing I read on the subject said if it’s going for a kill the Wolverine bites down and holds onto the neck of the bear. How interesting how the Wolverine intelligently knows that’s how it’s gonna kill such a formidable huge creature . Such as a 1000 pound grizzly or a 1200 pound polar bear.. Did it learn that through years of evolving and fighting grizzlies and polar bears ? Or is that just some kind of coincidence? In this life? Hey? I’m just asking. I’m just curious. Why did all the different writings and writers I encountered in my research on such a subject , which writers came from different eras by the way, all strangely agree and testify to the fact a Wolverine kills a polar bear or grizzly in that fashion. When it engages a grizzly or polar bear in a battle? I think it’s a fair question I just asked there… Very fair. Think about it. That’s fasicinating. Don’t you think?

Honey badgers and wolverines are durable and courageous creatures. No doubt about that. They are two of the few creatures in the wild that possess the closest thing to what's referred to as gameness. Gameness is basically the determination to not give up even when faced with danger or a very challenging situation. It is a quality mostly found in and associated with catch and fighting dogs such as Pit Bulls that have been selectively bred for very dangerous and challenging tasks such as controlling bulls in bullfighting matches, holding down wild pigs for hunting, and fighting each other in dogfighting matches that can last longer than some movies. Honey badgers and wolverines are not exactly game, but they are the closest of any wild animal with the exception of badgers.

Animals are very smart. Big cats know that the honey badger is not worth the time so they just avoid it. They know it does not taste good so why even bother with it. They would rather run from it than get bitten by it. A very hungry leopard can and will kill it and eat it!

Back in the 1990's I was travelling in a wild area of Michigan (where I live). I was driving slowly down a paved country road when something moved onto the roadway. It was a badger. I thought it would walk across the road so I stopped. The badger attacked the car. I backed up and somehow got around the badger. They are fearless.

From what I think I know. Both are fearless. Both can ride their adrenaline to victory, or at least a stand off. Fear converts to aggression instantly for both. Neither will run, as this will induce most predators to attack. The wolverine, of the two, seems more capable of inflicting damage. While the honey badger has more formidable physical and chemical defenses. Best be careful. It is said that blunt force trauma to their skulls is the best way to dispatch them, if you don't have a gun, or spear. The honey badgers hide is thick and loose. No matter where you grab one, it will be able to literally turn within its hide in order to counter attack. If pressed, they go for the crotch. Both are cunning and surprisingly intelligent. There was a tale from over 100 years ago. This tale was told by a Native American. The teller of the story claimed that a wolverine was disabling the traps along his trap line. Eventually, the wolverine infiltrated his cabin while he was away, and chewed through all his food stores, including his canned goods. When the local trade post proprietor heard his story, he loaned him new supplies and equipment. Do not underestimate these large weasels. Do not dismiss their blind rage for stupidity. They instinctively know your weaknesses.

Ironically neither the wolverine nor the honey badger attacks man. However I don't think I'd push my luck if I got near their food. However they are not aggressive towards us and will avoid us if possible. In fact badgers have been known to be friendly towards us but wolverines are always cautious and will always choose to avoid us. They're also a protected species.

Theres a REAL life story of Lions mauling a Honey Badger almost to death, who had escaped from captivity. It survived & was nursed back to health only to immediately escape again to try to settle the score with the Lions. Story is on YT. That tells you how utterly fearless & nuts these relatively smal creatures are. Their bodies are thick & almost rubbery making it exceptionally difficult for other animals to get an actual bite in.

There are several advantages a Wolverine possesses. First is the stamina, they can literally run all day, and fight for hours on end. Wolves and other animals cannot do that and will lose unless they get lucky. Second, they have to get lucky because of the skin and toughness of the Wolverine, they simply don't get "battle damage" like other animals. They are so tough, that in some enviroments they live by eating just the bones and marrow of old moose carcasses, as they don't hibernate like bears or other animals in the harsh enviroments.

The wolverines will kill the wolves even in this video you see it try to dive in head low and turned its head sideways up, thats a kill attempt position for it, if it can get at the throat it will grapple the neck and knaw into its throat. There is a video of one surrounded by wolves and actually killing one of them. Even the cougar runs off. Their is also video of them chasing off Grizzlys these things are deceptive killers and i don't know if its true but i have heard there have been instances of them killing small bears. As you see they kill deer and carribu. They have different mannerisms to the honey badgers.

The truth is that although Honey badgers have balls of steel, that is often their biggest downfall. They take on leopards and lions etc and often the leopards will run as they're solitary animals that can't afford to get injured, if they can't hunt thsyll starve BUT sometimes the big cats decide to fight back and 99.9% it's game over for the badger. They may be fearless but the big cats are much bigger and stronger and will come out victorious

We were just watching a European Badger in our yard about an hour ago. It has a den somewhere on our property and we would never mess with it, they can be vicious. People here walking in the woods put slats of wood in their rubber boots, they know the damage a badger can do to your legs. BTW Wolverines are the most vicious and strongest of the species of the weasel family. Our European Badgers weigh about 30 to 37 pounds and can run forward or backward at about 20 mph.

A wolverine with a tracker on it caught the scent of a far-away grizzly bear. There was a mountain range covered in deep snow in the way. What does wolverine do? He didn't go around, the easy sensible way. No. He went over the peak. He had to show that mountain peak who's boss of who.
