There’s a VERY small area that the Asiatic Lion shares with the Tiger! In Gir National park, where the Asiatic lion lives (mostly) the Tiger is now extinct! And the Indian government won’t reintroduce them back into the parks in Eastern India! They think it’s mean to mix the two! Stupid!

Not true. mono e mono? tiger has a much more powerful bite than a Lion. Tigers hind legs are more powerful. especially if a Siberian tiger which can weigh up to 700lbs. (Male African Lions weigh at the most 500 maybe 550) goes one on one with a male African Lion, I would bet the kitchen sink on the tiger. However, the advantage Lions have is numbers. Tigers are solitary animals where Lions are sociable and hunt as a collective. Lions are far more intelligent than Tigers because of the fact that Lions live in a hierarchal pride structure.

A tiger will always back down against a lion and will always try to avoid them. The reason is - tigers are solitary predators. They can't afford themselves with such a pointless fight that can lead to injury. Getting even a slight injury might affect their hunting abilities, which may lead straight to death by starvation. So tigers aren't cowards, they're just being clever weighten risks. Male lions are completely is on other hand. They almost don't hunt, they instead fight other male lions to live another day, which is pretty much explains why are they much more aggressive and ruthless towards predators such as themselves. But trust me, once tiger gets a "nothing to lose" vibe it is all over for lion.

Good video. Like the narrator said, predators don't always win. Zebra are also dangerous for lions to hunt. They do predate on them, but Zebra pack a savage kick, and a single well placed kick could be fatal. They are also notorious biters.

The tour guide had to tell us all to be quiet and pointed to a spot in the grass where we saw nothing. Then, after a while, we saw a slight move, and then the lionesses became visible. They were looking right at us. It was both terrifying and memorable a the same time.

I have to agree with the lion being the alpha predator. One day while visiting a circus I had the opportunity to get close to the lion and tiger cages. Both animals were huge, but the lion stunk like crazy and the tiger had very little odor. I could tell both cages had been recently cleaned from the presence of fresh straw.

Simply not true. Lions destroyed every animal they fought, including tigers. That's how they got the title king of the beast. 1 on 1 lions fight better. They use prides and coalitions for overkill. Tigers ran from a lion alot. Lions are capable of taking on up to 3 tigers at once. Once they go savage they are very hard to stop. Romans tested lions hard and made them fight more than 1 tiger at once, They won alot of those test. They later used the lion as their symbol of bravery and courage. So lions won the most even against bears. You look at enough videos of them together, It becomes clear lions are dominant and fearless. Tiger submits and runs away from lions quite often in confrontations and direct fights.

Lions are kings of the Jungle because all the other animals that can beat them in their habitat are not predators. The fact that they hunt in groups also helps. One on one, an adult Giraffe would annihilate an adult lion. Although they don't live in the same habitat, adult Lions are no match for adult bears. Adult bears are no match for adult Rhinos and Hippos. Adult rhinos and Hippos are no match for adult elephants.

I respectfully disagree. Adult bears would not stand a chance against group of 30 hyenas or pack of 30 dogs though they seem to be holding against wolves in Americas. If you were to put a Kodiak or Grizzly bear in Africa , the 30 Hyenas or a pack of wild dogs there would take turns and wear even the biggest of the bears in say 20 or 30 minutes and tear it down to pieces but the hyenas would not mess with a even a single adult male lion ; All that is required is a Roar and the hyenas would scatter in all directions; Not for nothing Lion is known as the king of beasts; see O5DrnKq7hG4 ; Also if you look at continental movement , South America was attached to Africa several millions of years ago - Leopard evolved into Jaguar and Lion evolved into Mountain Lion. Jaguar with its spots is suited for Amazon Rain Forest and hence it stayed there whereas the plain skin of Mountain Lion is more suited for Desert / Plains and hence it has moved to Andes mountain range and then over Central America to North America where grizzly and brown bears have their home. The fact that smaller mountain lion is able successfully move into North America and stay put in Bears territory itself shows Mountain Lion is a more successful predator in the wild. Size does not always matter in the wild. In a closed enclosure a bear might be a formidable opponent but in the wild Lion and Tiger would always remain supreme over the bear. Ask Mountain Lion , millions of years of evolution behind it as I indicated above and there is nothing grizzly or brown bear can do. I surely agree with your ranking "Adult bears are no match for adult Rhinos and Hippos. Adult rhinos and Hippos are no match for adult elephants." ; I would like to add no land animal other than Hippos , Rhinos and Elephants would be a match for a Nile Crocodile. A Nile Crocodile can latch onto a Kodiak or Grizzly and rip it's face to shreds with it's massive bite force. Adult Rhinos have advantage here due to their thicker skin and their weight.
