Michelin XZAs for the win. I ran a 1979 K100C Cabover and you're sitting on top of the damn steer axle. Went from Good Years to the Michelins...they were like a magic carpet ride. HUGE difference.

At LUCKEN’S we cut up about 15 trucks a week and we sell parts and the most popular tire I have found on steers is this Firestone fs591 . And finally I know why. Great information you gave me thank you

Wish I could get that kind of mileage out of a set of steers I would be happy with a 100,000 miles.

Even with wheel bolted, 125psi is enough force to blow across room and into wall. Cage cover entire tire and wheel. Never stand beside inflating tire. If you must, stand facing tread head on. Very strong this direction.

You've mentioned cheaper alternatives for your drives and trailers, if you're ever curious touch base with me. I work at a tire wholesaler and we've had a lot of luck with GTRadial. They used to manufacture all of the Dayton tires. We've also had great luck with Double Coin trailer tires. I can shoot you a price with shipping included. We're based in central Minnesota. Would love to work with you! Very informative video!

looks like you have centrifugal balancers. That will or should make a significant difference in wear.
