Hate to break it to you guys, and I love my LS powered Fox, but the first Gen Shelby GT500 5.4 will hold up to more power than any of the LS motors you’ve tested not just stock bottom end, but stock longblock all together. Take the blower off, add a pair of snails, you can make 1200-1400whp without touching the internals. We made a customer 1170whp with twin 6870 PTE turbos through a Glide, so that would be even more through a 6 speed and there was more power to be made at that point. LS mills aren’t the only engines that can make huge power stock, they just do it the most budget friendly.

the thing needs to be huge to compensate something like 2000Liters of air per second warming up tens of degrees at that rate. That thing melts ice like crazy. Think how long the warm water needs to be in a huge refridgerator, to get back to ice? You need like a 100horsepower refridgerator, which is going to maybe add power afterall, but its going to be bigger than a roots blower, and need more coolant than the ice-bucket. Neither is good for endurance racing, ice is pretty good for drag/topspeed stuff. Endurance guys need to deal with ambient-air-intercoolers

RICHARD, HERE IS MY QUESTION TO YOU AND I HOPE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS DOESN'T GET IN THE WAY OF CAUSING YOU TO TELL A FIB. IS THE LS PLATFORM STRICKLY BASED ON FORD DESIGNS OF THE 427 HIGH RISER/351WINDSOR?????????
@Frank2891004 жыл бұрын
@C03 EVERYTHING USED BY CHEVY IN RACING TODAY IS ALL FORD BASED FROM THE R07 NASCAR ENGINE TO THE DRCE PROSTOCK ENGINE TO ALL THE SYMETRICAL HEAD RACING ENGINES TO THE MOUNTAIN MOTORS. I WILL START WITH THE LS HEAD. PUT YOUR FINGER INTO A LS HEAD THEN INTO A FORD WINDSOR HEAD AND THE INTAKE RUNNER CURVES INTO THE INTAKE VALVE WHICH IS A SPIRAL INDUCING COMBUSTION CHAMBER. THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AND ITS A FORD DESIGN. THE WINDSOR HEAD VALVE WAS STRAIGHTER FOR BETTER FLOW AT 20 DEGREES. AND GM TOOK IT TO 18 DEGREES. THE LS HEAD IS ALSO ,BASED ON THE FORD 427 HIGH RISER ENGINE WHERE THE INTAKE RUNNERS ARE RAISED UP GIVING THE AIRFLOW A STRAIGHT SHOT INTO THE CYLINDER, ANOTHER FORD ENGINEERED DESIGN. THE LS ALSO HAS A ANGLE PLUG LIKE A FORD. IT ALSO USES THE KIDNEY SHAPE COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF THE FORD 427 HIGH RISER WHICH DATES BACK TO THE 1960-1 HI-PER FORD 390. YOU CAN SIT SCREAMING BANGING YOUR SPOON ON YOUR HIGH CHAIR DENYING THE LS IS ALL FORD IN DESIGN. BUT IT WILL NEVER CHANGE THE FACT OF WHAT CHEVY DID TAKING DESIGNS FROM FORD. NEXT WE WILL GO ON TO THE BLOCK.
