My favorite part of all these podcasts is the talk between Moshe and Natasha. The real talk about their lives and their child. There will be chatter between the two of them with Moshe saying, "You just say the word and I'll be down the road" (and I have no doubt he'd be very successful with the ladies -younger ones too, probably). But then Natasha will throw in a curve ball where she says, "I'd never cheat on you" and - not that it's any of my business -- I hope that they stay together.

Some say people pleasing is selfish. You're doing what's easy (saying yes instead of confrontation) and then perpetuating this "martyr" mindset, when you're really an adult who has choice. You can think "I'm mad at them for making me do this, I'm just such a good person" but not being honest isn't being a good person. Being a martyr isn't being a good person by default.

Natasha, you need to know your worth and feeling OK with boundaries. You should feel safe to know that you can say no to Moshe and he will still love you. It's easy to say yes but then we become passive aggressive, which causes resentment for both people. It ends up hurting your relationship

Something needs to change. I'm listening to these out of order (often half-listening while doing menial tasks) but it's impossible to miss the contempt she has for him and his juvenile narcissism. She obviously enjoys his fawning and exerts dominance in the relationship but the dynamic is ultimately toxic. He wants so badly to make her jealous, but what she demonstrates is disgust. If they are staying together for the sake of their child and enmeshed careers they need to see a good therapist. It isn't much fun to hear the passive-aggressive digs and casual cruelty they pass off as banter during some episodes.

The thing is, I never got to have a primary person who wants to marry me . . .and now everyone's getting greedy and wants to stay in their marriages and have extras. It doesn't seem fair. I'm going to die alone unless someone starts making male robot companions. (most people say "polyamory" but what they mean is they want to f&*k other people on the side. No one with a job has time to actually having loving relationships that are fulfilling for everyone involved with multiple people). I do get jealous, but I've never cheated. I think that stereotype actually was believed by my boyfriend and he thought I was cheating. I wasn't even though he wasn't physical. So, I'd appreciate people not making assumptions and spreading false statements like that. It's the same as people who think us with ASD have not emotions and keep telling others that lie. You can't make generalizations, especially when you know nothing about the topic.
@clevermissfox
@clevermissfox 2 жыл бұрын
I dont believe he was making generalizations, he was telling an anecdote about a pattern he recognized in sponsees in NA who showed signs of jealousy , that they had history of cheating on partners. I 100000% support sex work and anyone providing loving touch for others as a service. However be clear about what it is.
