Wow, a real hair-raising and beard-pulling adventure. Thanks for the yell out for anyone below when you did the rock drop. Remember, a cheap figure 8 descender is a lot better than using a failing descender that might drop you into the abyss. Also, it can be carried in a pocket !! Hugs and prayers for your continued safety !!!

Hair-Jam! U rock, Frank. Beard-mowin' time, perhaps? That said, even I carry a pocketknife. Nasty Union moment when u slip & do the slide left me slack-jawed, eyes buggin'. This baby's got Reaper written all over her, but u know that, I'm sure...challenge = big pt of her allure. Replace faulty equip & stay safe, my friend. Thumper cameo dredged up childhood # I used to recite: "In a cabin, in the woods, a little old man by the window stood. Saw a rabbit hopping by, knocking at my door. "Help me, help me, Sir," he said, "or the mean old farmer's gonna shoot me dead!" Come little rabbit, come with me...and happy we will always be."

Frank that was a rollercoaster ride of crazy exploring - wished you wouldn't have taken the risk when your device wasn't working correctly. You filmed some really great footage inside and outside the mine. You explored every nook and cranny. I hope your grazed arms are healing and not too sore. Had a mate get his hair caught in a descender at the bottom of a cliff had him on my shoulders and another bloke untied the rope at the top it's not a nice situation , another time a bike I know got pulled out of a shaft by a car and the rope dug into the wall at the top and out came the bloke with a big chunk of earth and dust clouds , the dumb things you do when your young , lucky to be here , you have much more experience , but as you know it doesn't take much when your in a dangerous place Thanks heaps for your video

One of our local mines, where I'm going to be shooting a video that maybe upto 9 hours long as we will be showing it in real time due to the mine being in a terminal state. Going to film it in a few months but it has had a large collapse. Going to inspect it tomorrow, see if it's still possible to get through. Got a feeling I'm gonna needs balls as big as yours from the pictures I've seen! I did say a few weeks ago not to use a Gregory as a descender, now you know why, they are supposed to be just for rigs. Not too much luck on this one, that mine defiantly trying to tell you something lol ;o)

In the Quincy copper mine in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, the tour takes you by an unassuming fenced off "puddle" on the 7th level that they eventually tell you is a main shaft that's some 9000 ft long (6000 ft vertically). I think they said it's 90 levels deep.
