@@anishphi1 perhaps if she realized lifting my get her closer to her goals, she'd be willing to try it twice a week. If she just enjoys cardio because of the way it makes her feel, she might not give it up so easily. Maybe is she tried it and just "practiced the movements" as Sal would say, she might find it less intimidating and could work up from there.

Life was shit..... from high school to adult life. Break ups, Lost friends, etc. people were just leaving my life as I focused on myself and it negatively effected me and had me in this wind down for years. Now i found you guys i have only been listening and watching for about 3 weeks now and the amount of content and knowledge that is spread across your videos some I even watched more then once too deepen that understanding of what you speak about! Now being 21 almost 22 here at the 30th of April, I'm happier then ever, mind focused and more positive, Less anxiety and depression episodes, and over all better attitude due to the workout and process I have made for myself to prime my body, working out. Off days I work on mobility and trigger session so even though I'm young and very unexperienced but with the knowledge you give us I have speed up my process greatly and always looking to learn more and do more!

practice the lift is the most valuable advice . I think the issue with most casual gym goers nowadays is going heavy without good technique , which can have an adverse impact on your gains and can lead to injuries.

I'm 55, been doing a "starting strength" full body workout 3 times week since December, getting stronger every workout but not gaining size. 5-10-165, eat fairly clean, 2500-2800 calories a day. Wanna build lean muscle without a gut, would think if im getting stronger i would add some muscle even without excess calories.

You also need to row, preferably a bent over variation. If the bent over variation becomes too fatiguing when used in conjunction with Deadlift, and Squat, then do an Inverted Row. Not rowing is a big mistake, and should be added to the movements you mentioned. Also, as an optional addition, weighted pull-ups, or at least body weight pull-ups can offer incredible benefits
