You know the funny thing I've noticed here? Every human goes through multiple philosophies that can be represented using a DFA (Deterministic Finite Automaton) diagram. This is like proof that we are in a simulation, meaning everything is pre-planned or constrained, so ultimately, nothing matters. Edit 1: But then, this thought itself should also be pre-planned, so we can never be sure if we are thinking in the right direction or not because there is no right direction. This realization led me to an advanced mode that strongly resonates with अद्वैत (Advaita). Yesterday was Father's Day and although my father is no longer in this world, but he was a great philosopher in his own way. He studied almost all religious books and philosophies and after all his hustle, he probably realized everything. However, he knew he couldn't explain it all to a child, so he might have named me in a way that one day I would delve deeply into the meaning of my name. Edit 2: And now, thinking about the above monologue, I realize I am acting like one of those "purana philosophy" guys. You've got my thoughts racing, bro. I feel like I have so much to talk to you about, or maybe nothing at all. It's hard to explain.

"we live in simulation" is based on action-reaction or "energy/matter is conserved" theory but as of now, we know that at subatomic level, things go randomly, nothing is fixed, we may be living in a simulation but that simulation is not linear, it randomly chooses outcomes which can't be predicted for sure. I don't know what I wrote here, but just wanted to turn your monologue into dialogue.

As a young Indian, I do hope that all youth of India explore the philosophies of hinduism spiritually, instead of being swayed by zealots who wish to establish It as an organised religion like the abrahamic religions. It is a mere gimmick for control , it is an exploitation of bhakti. We must resist this tarnishing of our great way of life, and we must advance It with more ideas by intellectual excersize.

@branthebrave5 ай бұрын
Buddhism definitely doesn't say it's only void (the video only says this for sake of having to give a long explanation) for the reason that you can still clearly observe that there are feelings/a world etc.; it's the middle/avoidance of extreme nothingness and extreme tangibility; nihilism/annihilationism and eternalismism. it's closer to avdaita in that regard but just that it implies that there's no permanent atman. It also presents deep meditation ("pure consciousness") as a state useful for insight in its jhaana model, either as general deep samaadhi or the "6th jhana / 2nd arupa jhana", but consciousness is also quite "existent yet intangible; observable yet not solid, not reliable" like any other feeling or thought. the stream of consciousness is like a sandy beach stretching down the shore, but when you look closely, it's made of millions of disconnected grains; clearly that's not a void and clearly it's not "full" in the sense of something worth holding on to.

@@Purwapada no, consciousness is "the clear light of the void". It is so that we don't misunderstand it as a "thing", so it is put as "no-thing", not "nothing". Yes, they say the atman doesn't exist, but that's because the idea at that time was that the atman was a thing, which changed with the coming of Advaita, especially with Shankara, and slowly the Buddhists lost the logical grounds, and then popularity.

I resonate with each and every one of them to some extent (with a bias for Karmyog and Itihasa) and feel a sense of completeness after watching this video as your way of describing these philosophies is like connecting really abstract pieces of a puzzle while making sense of why every piece exists. Its like finding words to describe what I have always observed and is something abstract but never known what to make of it. Thanks for this video Ashris, you made my day! I was thinking that such parallels shouldn't be drawn as it creates false images about our old traditions. I still am of a belief that conversation about dharmic traditions should be done in its truest form and terminology. But bruh that gets boring af after a point. Doesn't really appeal to the Genz masses. 😅 Now after watching this video: It made me so curious about various indian philosophies which i was absolutely clueless about. And such videos can actually start conversations around our ancient traditions and popularise them. I love this channel. Never disappoints! 🎉

Buddha had to fight the illusion of magic in various "karmkands" or rituals. He had to compromise with a few things so that people don't discard his teachings as Charvaka's. I guess he knew he is lying on staying silent on a few existing ideas for people to slide in smoothly. He said what was processable for masses. If he went straight rational, his philosophy would have had lost already.

I would like to share my 2 cents. I will write my opinions in points. I am doing it spontanously. Lot of people get lost in subjects like philosophy and lose the bigger picture. Thats what my opinions are going to be about. 1. This is a great video. Thanks for sharing. Its really inspiring. 2. First and foremost we have to remember philosophies are a subset of life not the other way around. We have to make sure we dont lose grip on the overall picture and sanity. There are infinite people who dont even explore subjects like spirituality or philosophy yet have a 'good' life. Thats because we are part of the society. Our environment takes care of us. The usual genes, parenting, education, experiences, laws, social norms, choices cycle takes care of the basics like philosophy automatically. You know the essence of my life philosophy at this point. I believe everything you shared or did not share, its all talking about having a 'good life'. Neutral life in some cases may be. No one is trying to have a bad life, though in advanced concepts even bad can be good, which ultimately gets us back to 'good life'. Most people who explore philosophy, religion, and spirituality are going away from the society and exploring the unusual in a sense. This suggests difficult times push people towards such topics. Discovering that there is actual 'magic' in this world beyond what society tells is so liberating (or rewarding in some cases). So one has to remember not to take life too seriously. Taking life too seriously is one philosophy which is bound to backfire. 3. I personally feel a balanced life could be the high level goal in life. No matter what philosophy you follow, none of them talk about not working : ) Work is an absolute reality. Even breathing is work. You stop you die. No philosophy talks about ending life. So working as per our nature is foremost priority of life. You dont have to look at work as work. For eg, artists can look at it as expression. Action is another word used to describe work. We cannot work without Learning. Learning itself is work as well. But its a lot more. Learning is growth. Learning is leisure. Learning is life. Desires are completely optional. Do you want to be rich? Do you want to raise a family? Do you want fame, success? Or you are looking for escaping the matrix itself through spiritual enlightenment. No matter what you choose, it will require learning and work. 4. Choice is an interesting concept. Some believe we have it, some believe we dont. I think thats where the magic lies. Our beliefs shape our reality. Whoever tells you they have figured out what life is all about are disillusioned : ) 5. The crux remains the same through all religions, beliefs, philosophies and spiritualities. They all noticed creation. And they shared exhaustive options starting from there being a creator, to us being the creator, or the creation itself being the creator and all combinations of those. They are all right and they are all wrong. Thats because it doesnt matter. Meditating on it does help with growth. Though its just a small curiosity which we got carried away with. Who cares? : ) 6. I personally believe in a universal consciousness. I believe there is a supreme being. It doesnt matter who it is. Nature, Universe, God, Me, You, Kenye West. Doesnt matter at all. I do know we all 'experience' supreme being at times but we are not the supreme being all the time. No one knows for sure who it is, what it is. We cant give it a name. Its abstract. I wont even call it a feeling. Or a vibe. It can only be felt though. Or experienced. There is no right word. We have to keep changing the words. Words are not that strong. Thats the best I can describe it : )
