Lol. Sounds like your journey might continue. Your hair looks great I suspect youll only need grafts in the hundreds to give you the density you might want after you see the 18 month result. So baiscally a small transplant. Do you use hair spray after you style your hair the way you want or do you go out with no hair product?

I’ve followed your journey and I’m happy to see your hair growth turned out so well! My crown also looks a bit less dense, but a little hair fiber always does the trick, and it’s hardly noticeable.

I am in my day 14 after the surgery and your videos taught me what to expect at different stage of recovery and how to handle it. Just want to leave this comment to show my appreciation. Apologies if you've covered this over the past 6 months, but do you think there is much change between months 12 and 16 ? I'm on 10 months and I've had smp and it's irritating close to being ideal, so I'm hoping for another maybe 20% in the crown. BTW is is soooo good when you have some coverage. So pleased I did it. Imo it's a must.

i do feel there is change, but very slight. Its not as drastic as how the hairline and midscalp is due to the blood circulation levels.

Hey mate, your hair looks awesome! Since transplanted hair is supposed to be resistant to DHT, have you thought about stopping Finasteride? Maybe you could try pumpkin seed oil instead?

Hey Amit! Love the progress update. But I just needed to tell you that finasteride dose (1/2 tab every other day) is literally a waste of the drug and is the equivalent of not taking the drug at all. Theres a therapeutic window: too much of the drug is toxic, too little won't have any effect. The 1 mg dose puts it in the nice sweet spot and helps trigger new hair follicles to grow and prevent hair loss. The 0.5mg (especially every other day) will do absolutely nothing especially since you need to take the 1mg for at least 7 months to see any noticeable effect. The sexual dysfunction side effect occurs more in the 5mg dose which is used to treat BPH. The 1mg you will hardly see any serous adverse effects. Sorry for the rant, just don't want you to waste your money thinking that dose will do anything 😅
@amitposthair3 ай бұрын
this is very interesting! my doctors have told me that it still is effective (obviously not as effective as taking 1mg a day), but taking it every other day still can give decent results. But what you mentioend also makes sense. Will see what works best for me also in the future. And dont worry, rant away! glad to hear feedback!!

He’s using micro needling as seen from this video. According to another KZbin channel run by a pair of Australian medical doctors, PRP has same effect as micro needling, they do have effect if done right, but both are supplementary and secondary to Finasteride and Minoxidil.

Hi Amit. I have just done my HT at Vera Clinic and back in the UK last night. I just wanted to ask about your videos in terms of aftercare. I chose the 12 month finestrade as i thought there was more in there and vitamins etc i can get myself. they advised that GF shampoo, GF serum ad Haarex spray are not a necessity but can really help. Do i need to use those exact brands or are there better alternatives, ive seen your other video about using a a different shampoo now to GF shampoo so tis is why i ask. Keep up the videos :)

i personally picked those brands up because i did not know what to initally get. They are a good starting point, but I would recommend some alternatives that could be better. They're all linked in the description box of my vidoes!

Is there any concern that you’re losing some grafts. How does the pillow look in the morning? When you’re shampooing, what comes into your hands? Only a few hairs or a lot? There is some concern that graft followup in clinical studies is poor as many target the 2 year range but lack in longer 5-10 year followup. Not trying to diminish your results or anyone else’s but trying to understand the so called “permanence” of these grafts
@amitposthair3 ай бұрын
Not really. i rarely shed on my pillow in the mornings. A few come out during a shampoo wash, but that is completely normal. Generally we lose 100 hairs a day on average. I've had my 1st transplant done over a 2 years ago and it still seems to be going strong!

Hi Amit, my hair looked great untill 1.5 years of my hair transplant. And now suddenly i am facing hair loss again and my hair density is down atleast by 30%. I have been using finasteride since long. But just fail to understand why i lost so much of density within last couple of months. Dont know if it is because of too much of travelling or no. I just dont feel good about it.
@amitposthair2 ай бұрын
hmm that's strange! maybe your body is reacting to something else. best to double check with your doc about this. dont think it has anything to do with travelling though!

So what's the reason why your crown is lacking density? How many grafts went in the crown?
@amitposthair3 ай бұрын
i think it was just not enought grafts for a wide area? total of 3200 grafts was on the crown but i had literally nothing there
@MrPink03 ай бұрын
Cool results, but i will just one thing. If you are aiming for better density and you’re planing to do another surgery them not to try to recreate circle shape on the crown. Majority of doctors are trying to do it and it never gets as full because 4000 grafts isn’t enough for such a procedure. It does look naturally but do you even care about that.. I didn’t. Like try positioning the grafts squarey so you can completely cover everything, and hair won’t grow in circles and won’t divide as much. I’m telling you this from experience and with good intention after all 🕺🏻💪🏻 best regards.

I'm not trying to be that guy, but I just don't get how placing 4000 grafts in the crown area can lead to a result like that, i'm sure you will grow more at some point. It doesn't make sense that is the final result, think about it putting 4000 grafts in that location its mathematically impossible only that many hairs would appear, definitely should be more.
@amitposthair2 ай бұрын
@@izziiebabee hey man that's a totally valid assumption. The breakdown of my 4k grafts go as 3200 on my crown, 600 on my midscalp and 200 on my hairline. I didn't have too many triple and quadruple grafts to be used hence it doesn't appear as thick. I also learned from the doctor that because of the low blood circulation, the crown will never have a perfect result. The doctor said that if I had hair there before, it would've been a better to get a more thicker result, but because I literally had nothing there, this is still something that is better than nothing! So I'll take that win lol
@izziiebabee2 ай бұрын
@amitposthair ohhh okay I assumed they used doubles?? But its singles in your case? And its 3200, okay that makes more sense fair enough, just got mine done a week ago (the crown)

if you've taken it for 2 years with no side effects why would you now start taking less to stop side effects from coming! Surely if you're going to get side effects they would come at the start?
@amitposthair3 ай бұрын
its more also for me to test the effectiveness of it. I've been using 0.5mg every other day for the past few months and my hair still seems pretty stable plus no sides. so taking a dose at a lower rate will just minimize any chances of it. Plus if i want to decide to have kids, i'd have to stop the medication anyway for a while, so it's more about prepping for that stage of like for me!
