@@BlueBirdBaby any personality type, and blame the English language for that issue because using “one” as a personal pronoun sounds strange and overly formal. I have switched to evaluating relationship quality based on the way the other person complements me or the kind of me I become when we’re together. This way it still makes sense, but it’s more useful as different combinations influence me to a different degree and in different ways. As an INTJ, I can confirm expectations always exceed reality. For that reason, instead of relying on expectations, I have developed a list 31 traits, ranked in a tier list by importance. Each trait is then measured on a 4 point scoring system (1 being woefully insufficient, 4 being exceeded standards) and given a weight based on the importance of the trait. As I learn more about the individual in question, I can begin to measure an average based on scores in the various traits. If this score exceeds a minimum value, I determine it is worthwhile to consider a relationship with the person in question. It’s quite simple really. An excel spreadsheet makes it even simpler.

As an ENFP, you are what I aspire to be in terms of preparedness for relationships. I don’t develop crushes easily and when I do I easily shrug them off because I know the high will fade after the initial novelty fades away and I realize how annoyingly human the other person is. It’s an unusually careful and narrow view of mine, and it’s definitely the reason I’ve never been in a romantic relationship (though I also know I’m too young and not mature enough for one anyways). Despite knowing that romantic relationships tend to start up without any meaning to them, I never knew how to seek out that meaning deliberately. I like this idea :))

Being an INTJ and asking somebody out is incredibly rare. Office romances smell like trouble and if you experience issues with her now (and you have not actually even dated), imagine how your relationship might have been unnecessarily complicated and draining. Seems to mě like you have avoided more trouble than you have. I would trust your intuitive prediction. Not listening to my intuition (though it sometimes offers weirdly specific predictions too early on) got me to a lot of trouble.

Big not giving people who were interested in me a chance and now there is literally nobody since my job is male dominated and my hobbies are male dominated. In my defense, as a INFP, imagining all those relationships and conversation is really helpful, it works like a simulation which I run usually far enough to see that it will not work out and there is no need to pursue it in the reality. There has litterally only been 3 people in my life and mind who survived this simulation enough so that I would want to make efforts to make it a reality x) and only one has any romantic compartiment attached to it.

I enjoyed how the ISTJ remarks about why he’d care about the persons weekend followed immediately by the ISFJ starting her conversation that way. Nice touch. The ISTJ has a good emotional translator in the ISFJ :)

ENTJ here... I was like, whatever. Kristin is wrong. I never gave my to-be wife a lis..... er uh. Well actually... wait a sec. I DID i DID i DID yes, I can't believe I did give her a list! I had her over on the second "date" and printed off beforehand a list from a Christian dating website I posted a year prior to ever knowing or meeting her, of what I was looking for in a wife - and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually asked her if she matched any of the items on it (and to be sure, I already previewed the list with her in mind, prior to her arrival)... and before she could object, I proceeded to read them. In the end, she was just silent. Nodded, thought probably I was weird, probably was a bit glad she met 98% of the list, but in her nice ISFJ way said "that's a nice list. are you sure? I mean, I'm not REALLY into becoming a missionary's wife, and I really don't want to go to Africa. But that's a ... that's a ... nice list." And to think, now that I know MBTI, I may have only won her heart when I first said the word "list" (as she is an ISFJ though and lists are their thing) without ever having to read it heh. Married now 19 years and going.

Ah it’s so easy in the dreams for an INFP! But to make it a reality takes a lot of courage, confidence and sleepless nights! And causes lot of stress because of the fear of failure/ rejection!!!

Okay as an ISFJ I was just cringing the entire time because I've not only done this with crushes, but friends who didn't really care about me too. I was pinching the bridge of my nose the entire time 😢ISFJs, we gotta promise we will leave this energy behind in 2022, we deserve better Edit: Need me an ESTJ lol

INTJ here, this year I went a visit a couple of people who I thought I had feelings for. I was really pleased with myself as I discovered the first one to be idealization but to my bad luck, even if I tested the second one to find something disappointing or any red flags, my analysis is that actually she is as a human I would like to be with. So yeah, now my obvious strategy is to run away and try to kill my feelings with fire :3

Damn I thought the one I related to would be ESFJ for the they love to help with the little details stereotype, but it was actually my type ! Remember: If you want an excuse to hang out with someone, say you want to help them with school work! Works sometimes! ( It also guarantees that you both won’t be bored, and that pained expression when they wanted to bring someone else too is too real 😭 )

The first joke of ENFP was actually in Blackadder Season 2 XD I have been trying from the moment the ISFJ clip played to convince myself I wouldn't be THAT much of a pushover, but then I remembered my crushes and I was like aghhh... ok I may have been... I mean... I can't relate to the tickets thing and giving both to them and their friend... (even if I did buy 2 lottery tickets by my crush to support her and her ex bf's job) but the main idea, yes... we sacrifice too much for others' comfort. Great work as always! Have happy holidays!

Okay, first of all, what is a “pregnant pause?” 😩 The INFJ one is very relatable. Of course, I’d never slip up like that. The “J” stands for “Just so you know, this ain’t amateur hour. *airhorn* 😎”

It hurts how much I can identify with the ENFP- I always make these kind of jokes in front of people I like, but I often act like they're really just jokes, because I'm afraid the other person doesn't like me back. It gets pretty complicated when both of us make these jokes and I'm not sure whether she's really just joking or whether she does the same thing as I do.

I've never asked anyone out but I've been asked out once (as far as I know, kind of oblivious to that stuff). It was with a letter that was way too long and emotional and I had no idea what to do with it, I think I would've preferred a direct approach like the ENTJ and INTJ here.
