⚡ *Absolute magic* ⚡ I am so glad you used Evolve trucks, it shows Evolve riders they can easily change their setup to gear drive, less scary for them when someone else shows them. Also, many say they are the best DKP trucks. A friend of mine is currently workin on convertin his Evolve Hadean into gear drive so this was really interestin to see! 4 piece (3 gear) system, interestin 🤔 Oh my God I love how simple and minimal the pulleys are!! Ahh man, now I want a gear drive board 😂 I was happy to see Mad 105s on it 😎 Lovin the Pros and Cons, etc overlays 🤙🏼

I think so~ I mean, the performance of the Omni gear drive kit was good enough, but the concept that it could be used in this way was so good. It was really easy to convert. Is your friend Thomas? lol I hope you can feel the street-type board with the gear drive someday~ And thank you always :)

the cons seems the cons for every gear drive system. I guess different gear ratio may suit for different size wheels. Hope there will be more than one version gear drive kit from Omni Esk8. Good job Kami!

I have the new Onsra BC3 and I am finding it quite underwhelming in top speed, also I didn't realize how often belts break on these contraptions. But I am thinking this gear drive will solve both those problems for me, increase top speed to 60km/h with 150mm wheels and no more weak belts that break all the time because rocks get stuck in pulley! I have ordered the Omni gear drive, thank you for bringing it to my attention, I hope the install goes smoothly.

Rolling resistance isn't affected by the type of drive. It's mostly wheel diameter and a little the tendency of wheel material to deform. Both in relation to the average surface deviation.

Meepo mini 2 was my first board and sometimes I wish I still had it. But when I'm thinking about my routes where anything smaller than 8 inch pneumatics is a no go, I quickly drop any thoughts about buying a street board.

The Meepo V4s ER uses the same Cells though 10s2p but I never expected such a high current could be extracted from those, as there is a noticible drop in voltage already with the comparably tiny output of 30A that it has. Guess the pre built boards must have noticeable higher electrical resistance somewhere, compared to the DIY's.

In fact, Meepo's setting is the right setting. This is because it is stable to set the current to less than half of the total discharge rate for maintaining the same power even when the battery capacity is low. In my case, I made this set to test it assuming that it was a more powerful output board. Therefore, even if the battery capacity drops a little, the voltage drop can easily occur.

There’s not really a high electrical resistance in production boards, probably the other way round. They just don’t really use half the amps the batteries are capable of since their motor controllers, etc are only rated for often less than half a good vesc is rated for (would mean bigger component needs increasing the size of the boards also), so the voltage sag doesn’t hit as hard when there’s not as big a drop in performance as the voltage drops and the boards stay smaller in 2in1 at least. DIY can do the same thing just running lower amps but then you’re limited in power output (okay if you’re exclusively seeking range from time to time.)

@@user-pc1er8zy7c I’m on build number 5 in the new year which will be a quick swap 2wd-4wd mountainboard and it’s a lot of (expensive 😅) fun, definitely recommend scrolling through the esk8 news builder forums and gathering some info on how to go about it, bit of a headache to start but when you’re rolling you can make some awesome boards that cover all sorts of riding scenarios.

If you search for M5 hex head bolts, M5 nylon nuts, you'll be able to buy them anywhere. You just need to select the length of the bolts.

Would you recommend gear drive now then Kami if like me im buying a brand new board soon and what ever i get is going to be my board for a while as money is tight so i have to make the right choices right from the get go.Was thinking of getting the AT2 + or is it worth saving just a couple of weeks more and getting something more mid-table of whats out there? I guess im looking at £1300 or there abouts then or roughly $1600 U.S dollars.Can i ask your thoughts Kami?

If you have DIY experience or are interested, it is also good to upgrade the board you have. But if you don't, I'd recommend going to the production board Because DIY has a lot of variables in the process of building, which results in more spending. So if you're not experienced, I hope you watch a lot of DIY build videos and choose.

카미님 안녕하세요 항상 올리신 영상 잘 보고 있습니다. 카미님이 만드신 비스트 esk8을 보고 저도 완성했습니다. 다만 vx4 리모컨을 주문해서 리모컨 펌웨어랑 리시버 1.1업데이트를 했음에도 불구하고 uart모드에서 킬로수, 속도, 배터리 잔량등이 vesc tool에 나와 있는 데이타랑 상이하게 나오는 건 왜일까요? 모터 풀리, 휠 풀리, 배터리도 툴이랑 리모컨 둘 다 동일하게 설정했는데도 리모컨 상의 내용이랑 실제 데이타 내용이 상이합니다. 혹시 vesc tool에서 따로 설정해줘야 하는 부분이 있을까요? 감사합니다 좋은 하루 되십시요 ^^
