I am disappointed with this interview. The bat cave virus and sick people in Kunming is the only thing interesting that she said. Other than that, I think I have enough of these so called “reporters”, and their BS. They are horrible at discussing America life and they are horrible at discussing international or scientific issues. She is a entertainment magazine journalist who is not a scientist, has never ever been to China and is biased in pushing for a certain narrative. The simple claim that Chinese gov has control over every single Chinese life is enough for me to distrust her. She knows nothing regarding China. Everything is possible, including lab leak, but to explain the lack of witness and concrete evidence in this day and age of social media and deep internet penetration in China with “oh, it’s just coverup and they are good at it, and they don’t have free speech” is just illogical and irrational. Also, I am not sure how to reconcile what she concluded with the report on the virus trace found in Italian sewage water already by December 2019, when Wuhan detected their first batch of cases. Does that mean the virus has been running almost concurrently in both countries undetected at the same time? What does that even mean if the Italian study is accurate? If we can find virus traces at other places before Wuhan outbreak, does that alter the origin of the virus? Is it possible to look back at the reports on the mysterious Pneumonia outbreaks at nursing houses near Fort Detrick lab to compare the autopsy data as well as medical records such as the X-rays of the infected lungs? I mean covid lung X-ray is quite unique unlike other pneumonia, so it’s not too hard to clarify the cause of the nursing homes outbreak. I am not sure, I just think these are valid questions, so I want to know. Completely agree from 59:39. The fact that SARS2 was so ready to go in humans without mutating is very suspicions. There's no evolutionary reason it would become so adapted to humans in another animal having an R0 of 2-3 straight off the bat (pun not intended). It all points to gain of research happening in isolation, then causing an explosive chain reaction when it got out. Nothing else can explain it anywhere near as well.

Remember that the Huanan Seafood market was closed Jan 1st 2020, cleaned out, including other Wuhan markets. And all Chinese wildlife farms that supplied markets were closed in Feb 2020. With SARS-CoV-1, no SARS evidence (virus, antibodies) was found in wildlife farms that supplied markets (except in a later case where market animals were bought by a farmer, some animals had SARS antibodies). SARS-CoV was only found in market animals. Note, it was 14 years after SARS outbreak before researchers found in a bat colony SARS-related CoVs that combined could be regarded as close progenitors/ ancestors.

Regarding Shi "BatWomen" Zhengli and the furin cleavage site (cgg-cgg), I believe Kristian Andersen & Lawrence Sellin were the first to suggest “unusual features”... but weren't covid-remnants detected in the sewer systems of Spain, Italy, Connecticut in 2019 months before officially discovered in Wuhan? And if the reason why the virus was infectious/deadly from day one, was because it was engineered and funded by the U.S., the next question would be was it deliberately released or was it negligence. And if the government is caught lying and then tampering with evidence (ex. Faucci stating no funding gain-of-research and the "transparent" EcoHealth Alliance then removing evidence).. how is anyone to believe anything?!

I'm only half way through at this point. My first reaction is that the journalist didn't deem this news until trump was out of office. That's how I heard what was said. Yet trump pushed this theory. Maybe the media should have done their job instead of knee jerk reactions "orange man bad". The virus was seeded in Wuhan, Iran, and Italy around the same time by an unknown place.
