I had no idea that there was so many female Terminators in the Terminator universe. Cause, growing up, the only female Terminator I knew about was the T-X from Terminator 3, and then I eventually found out about Cameron, Rosie, and Catherine Weaver from the Sarah Connor Chronicles when I got the show on DVD for Christmas a few years ago. Thanks for introducing me to new Terminators that I never knew about until now. I will say, out of all of the Terminators in this video, Catherine Weaver (the T-1001), is my favorite. Shirley Manson did such a fantastic job portraying the character. She's also the first female Terminator I ever had a crush. She's also in one of my favorite scenes from the show. It's in the final episode where she meets Sarah and John for the first time, and Sarah saids that line to her face, and then Catherine warns Sarah about calling her that name. I thought that was so cool. Definitely don't want to get on Catherine's bad side.

Kristanna Loken is such a good actor, she respected the terminator IP greatly, and thus she agreed without any hesitation to do the n'de entrance time-portal scene, as that's one of terminator's IP themes, and she also played/acted like a terminator (robot/machine-movement-acting-etc) really well too, much better than arnold does as a terminator, and arguably better than the guy who did the liquid-metal terminator in T2, and she also was quite intimidating as a terminator too, on top of moving/acting like a robotic/machine terminator as for the movie, it's enjoyable, and it really doesn't have any major flaws, probably the only thing that really actually hurt it is coming after T2 being such an incredible movie, it just couldn't match that, but what could? Oh, one other (possible) negative with it, is that they did the same scenes and etc format, ya, thus keeping it "consistent", but I think most people wanted it to be more different and not repeating the same scenes and format, at least back during that time, but now, I think we appreciate a movie keeping the same scenes and format a bit more also, remember how in the dark knight, how batman uses his bat-cycle and the cable cord to flip joker in the giant semi-truck over, it likely came from this movie's similar scene of the semi-truck flip over

Not gonna lie: I fell in love with Cameron when she (it's ok to call that thing she,?) try to 'mimic' human emotions...it's like that anti-social friend who is giving a try to social interactions, is funny.
@PsychoCPUАй бұрын
I think what made Cameron so compelling was that she was the longest interaction with people that we see on screen (other than in Terminator Zero on Netflix). She also develops true "feelings" for John, confirmed by the show runner in the DVD live commentary, to the point that she is able to self-override her core programming to terminate him. If we had gotten a third season we would have explored that more, with her chip in the future and John chasing after her. Also I think a huge issue with the Terminator franchise as a whole is they don't make it clear that each time Terminators are sent back in time it creates an entirely new timeline. The future line keeps going and a new one is created as soon as it's altered. This is why when we're following the same timeline Terminators keep coming but in different forms and at different times, because the events of Judgement Day keep changing in both period and capacity. Terminator Zero, for example, creates an entire new timeline where another AI is created to resist Skynet and when Judgement Day happens, it prevents Japan from being wiped out. This isn't explained so people watch all the movies and keep thinking "why does these keep happening and changing? What's even the point of the last movie if Judgement Day just happens anyway?" I think Terminator Zero did an excellent job of explaining the why, hopefully if we ever do get another live action movie or show it will be shown as well.

See that only a few of these comics are canon to the Movie Franchise; but I am a little confused about how canon the comics are to the Sarah Connor Chronicles; because I recall that in one of the episodes I have seen is one in which Sarah took a blood test for cancer and that it turned out negative at that time, But that don't mean that the cancer didn't happen later on, because John Connor was supposed to be around 19 years old when she dies of cancer and in "Rise of the Machines", John Connor was 23 years old; In the Sarah Connor chronicles we see (Or rather 'You See') him grow up from 15 years old to 18 years old; in fact I think Dark Fate is more the altered timeline of The Sarah Connor Chronicles than "Rise of the Machines" because now that I think about it I realize that The Sarah Connor Chronicles is like the combination of the two movie timelines before the T-3 movie ever existed.

Comparing the Resistance fighters from the "Assumed" original and altered/Genisys timeline to the Resistance fighters from the Dark Fate timeline from the Terminator franchise and the Rebel alliance from the Star Wars franchise: I see that the Resistance fighters from the Skynet timelines are just a rabble Militia of no "real" military background that have the tendency to make cold calculated decisions and do not realize until almost too late that some of their set protocols might not be the correct approach to execute a mission; but, they do have a better sense of team work than the Resistance fighters from the Dark Fate future; But, the Star Wars Rebel Alliance are kind of a combination of the two time-crossed groups of Resistance fighters; but, they still are not completely without the same hospitality that existed when the Republic soldiers were still a separate set of friendlies from the Rebel Alliance. There is something that does not make sense; Why doesn't the Republic no longer exist as a separate friend of the Rebels when the Sith took down the Jedi Order from "Revenge of the Sith "? All I saw from Leia's personal guards in "A New Hope"/"Rogue One" don't behave like the regular Naboo guards of the Republic empire, just more rando rebels; I could tell because real Republic guards are more organized in their fighting and wouldn't be shot down as easily. I know Star Wars are unrelated to this theme; but, the rebels of that universe are sort of similar to the resistance fighters from "The Terminator" Franchise.

The T-800 series had a possible backstory about their original subject from the "Predator" Universe which I heard from a related video that The Terminator series was part of the Predator/Alien Universe; its kind of an old KZbin video by now and I am not sure it still exists; so I am wondering why were there no human life backstories for the other 101s(except T-700 prototype known as: Marcus Wright) model series of Terminators or even for the T-Advanced series Terminators Like T-1000 (Excluding Genisys John Connor)or TX or "Alex"? The number "101" seems more like the patent number not the model number when the Terminators' T-Numbers is the actual Model numbers and I still don't understand why the complexity out of a simple piece of information. I have seen the "Sarah Connor Chronicles" and the Terminator sent by the resistance in the series was just a female T-900, she doesn't have an on-board weapons system or has the power of the T-1000 series but, she is much more efficient than the T-800s. Most of the Terminators that keep on coming to terminate 15 year old John were all T-700 and T-800s. I didn't know that there actually was a T-Advanced terminator; I guess she must've been from a third season? When I watched the series there were just a few episodes; Didn't know that I missed out a lot; unfortunately I was still barely a teenager at the time, the schedule might have moved to a time when I was in the middle of School hours; because when the show started I think it played either on Fridays after school or in a weekend day afternoon(Is kind of funny that I remember the Characters from the series but, forgot the date of its old original run time). I think it really was best that Sigourney Weaver wouldn't be playing a Terminator at all; she is one of my favorite Actresses but, playing a killer machine wouldn't suit her at all and The Terminator machine characters were already too emotional to be proper cold calculating cyber warriors anyway; I feel that way because they are not supposed to be anything like the Star Trek Borgs or the DC superhero Cyborg; Marcus Wright is the only Terminator Cyborg that gets a pass since he is the only machine that still has some of his humanity left from his former life and is still more of a human than machine.

I think the female Terminators better than they've got on screen. T3 was unnecessary & terrible! The movie was an obvious money grab by the studio & everybody knows it. Even the decision to make the new enemy Terminator a woman was just a thinly veiled attempt to wrangle a few bucks out of the "T&A" factor. Kathryn Weaver & Cameron from The Sarah Connor Chronicles were, in my opinion, good characters in need of a good show. The show did nothing for me. It was full of plot holes & violated the "rules" of time travel all over the place. Worse yet, it was boring &, again, just another money grab. In fact, Weaver & Cameron were the only bright spots in the series & both deserve way more character development & backstory, especially Weaver, whose efforts to become more human & to be a good Mom to her "adopted" daughter are one of the coolest stories in the Terminator universe. It'll be interesting to see what develops as the new Terminator anime develops. Hopefully, it'll keep on a good roll & give the female Terminators chance to shine.
