You are a saint to be so non-judgmental when the pigs come back. Why can’t people treat their pigs as if they were a cat or dog? I know people return cats and dogs also, but I think so often they think of their GP as starter pet and not as deserving as cats/dogs. My piggies have such amazing individual personalities, so I just can’t understand this attitude. Sigh...

How do the piggies handle the loudness? I can't handle it, and I am a person. Those lil piggy ears must be vibrating! Maybe it is just how the phone and video capture the sounds, making them louder than they actually are? Anyway, I could watch piggies for hours and hours. I had piggies for 33+ years, and if I were not medically unwell myself now, I would keep having piggies. They are the most wonderful creatures on the planet. He's not allergic to the animals and we love them. The vet said pellets and produce should be "nutritionally complete" so we don't have to have the hay in our home. Any ideas anyone if that would work? Is there another option to hay?
@fox73785 жыл бұрын
To my knowledge, hay is a must. It takes up the vast majority of their diet. You could look into getting blocks of hay instead of hay bags however. That might help with the allergies, but hay is unfortunately crucial to their diet! Good luck!!

We unfortunately had to find a better home for our lab/boxer mix, through no fault of the dog. We had the yard and time but my brother has been emotionally scarred by large black dogs and he couldnt handle it, not to mention we found out everyone in the house is allergic to dogs to varying levels. We did see her later riding in a truck head out the window and happy as can be so we were happy. It always sucks when you have to do that but sometimes its what's best for the animal as much as they are loved. No judgment to the people, you never know what they are going through to have to do that.

It makes me so sad seeing all these Guinea Guinea Pig's needing homes. 🤦🏼♀️I have 17 exactly. I took in RESCUES and I can't find homes. I have a health problem and will be needing back surgery soon. I am finding it much harder for me to clean out their cages. Feeding them is my therapy and motivation for energy. So, I plan to keep a few. I am desperate for their well beings. In NM, there are so many irresponsible people that it makes it twice as hard to home them. They are all doing good for now. I get no help. I am working with a local pet store but she is having a hard time finding homes for the current Pig's I gave her. She was able to take two babies. Two are boys that are babies but I can't send her just Chucky bec Paketoe is slow to reaction. Like, when we pick him up, he doesn't run. He lost his other two siblings. One at birth and one didn't make it. 😫😢 Though Paketoe made it but needs a experienced Guinea Mom or Dad. Otherwise, they would have been adopted. I would drive them down their to LAGPR but I see how your so busy! I would be able to donate $ once they are in foster care. I do have a few cages I can donate as well. I would need at least 10 fostered. They are all under 2.
