"Respond to your reality, not to his reasons." The best advice for those low-investment time-wasting guys. SO GOOD!!

You don't need to be like that! I'm watching this not because I'm into texting or online dating, I'm here because I'm trying to decipher what a woman was thinking when she texted. Women don't like investing in men either. I take care of myself so I must be shallow and like to sleep with lots of bimbos right?😂

As a dominant woman that usually does the chasing, the advice on not compensating over the lack of interest and laziness of the other person is really good. It's incredible how the things switch when you start tuning into their same level of energy. Very useful to avoid man-childs and people looking for a mom instead of an equal partner.

Exactly. You can’t build a real connection via text in my opinion. I can see using it some of the time but phone calls, voice clips and video chat should be used to bridge the gap in between in person dates.
@cocohitchman320911 ай бұрын
Calls or even video calls are definitely are better than texting but yes these are fillers and just check-in’s. You should be meeting up for dates/activities in public places not their home. Because the call/text becomes emotional less boring after a while if ur not spending time together . That’s a common failure in the connection not progressing.

I like to let her talk about herself 70 - 80% of the time, and let her ask about me so she feels listened to. Which is an element that is generally missing from later stages of relationships. I will only be of value when I am healed, have enough emotional strength to internalize everything, and can provide financially. As a man, wanting to be kind, nice, helpful, compassionate, etc doesn't get a guy anywhere with men or women. Men have incentive to be jerks, it's fucked up. You can integrate "games" in a way that is completely authentic. An inauthentic game is eg refusing to answer texts timely to look important. but it's authentic to delay responding if you ARE busy. notice that the tips Hussey is giving here are tips on how to show more of your authentic self. more sides of you. more flavourful. and more expressive of what you want/need. nowhere here did Hussey tell you to lie or trick someone.

People feel most connected whe they feel heard. They feel most loved, when they feel connected. If she feels heard she will want commited longterm relationsip and also offer him listening. The same is with customers. If they feel heard, they always come back. They see a genuine interest. Woman feels loved the most, when she feels heard, therefore she is inspired to listen.....because she realizes on the other side of phone isnt just some "artificial robot" If man feels heard he feels loved the most. If their kids feel heard, they will listen because they feel loved and it inspires them to share ideas. "fake nice men" seek short term pleasure, or approval, from customers or wife, without listening. "genuine nice men" offer listening and communication and mutual respect. You seek a genuine partner but make sure when they offer genuine listening, or genuine texts that you are able to share a genuine ideas, so they see your true personality, so they react to your genuine personality, not to "a fantasy" self. (the fantasy of some tv show) only then you realize you have connection, because they react to your true personality, and you react to their true personality. Maybe humor is also a good indicator that the person is genuinelly interested, that isnt looking for a perfect answer all the time. So first listen to your thoughts, without judgment. It gives you love and empathy from yourself and to change some habits. because when you dont judsge yourself you changhe habits much more easily. and then you are able to listen other people, so they feel heard, loved and happy and maybe they notice not just their flaws but also the good qualities about themselves. they see that you dont judge their flaws, or that they dont judge your falws because often flaws can be short term thing and people learn new things.

Is important to identify if is long distance relationship or your traveling and can't see them, communication via texts is fine. In all situations real interest you make the time for it, including phone calls, videocalls or even see them in person. I think love is like Grace - it falls upon you - and when it does - you don’t need any advice. Whenever I turned to someone for an advice it was a wrong man, or wrong feelings and wrong connection. When I had a beautiful relationship I could write better text messages and my humour and attraction was on top, my intuition kicked in and it all flowed naturally, playfully and beautifully. Not only from my side but also from his. However, in the degenerated world of modern dating - we do need advice to protect ourselves, rather than find love. Love will find whoever is searching with an open heart.

Bad sign that you are doing a fake profile. That is a bad start. The first secret from him…or you will tell him that you are spying on him? He will run away…I would do the same.

Unfortunately with #1 I do have to delay message back sometimes because I am in the unique situation where I always have immediate access to my phone. I work for myself. If I text back immediately every single time, especially if I am just starting to get to know someone, I'll look desperate or eager. I vary texting back either immediately or wait as long as 3 or 4 hours. I also try to keep the momentum going if I respond immediately and he answers back right away too. I'll continue to answer back and forth right away to keep up the live conversation.

Because Matthew gets it, I bet Audrey didn't have to do this much work.😩 A lot of these men simply don't. You as a woman will put all this work (and yes, this is WORK) into trying to concoct "excitement" with your text messages only for him to still ghost and move on to the next. Then, he returns 2 weeks to a month later asking, "how've you been?"... What a joke!🙄🙄

If you want to be in a reasonably good, long-term relationship - this is all helpful. But I have always wanted to find love. Love is more important for me than a relationship and family. Finding true love is not easy.

So I’ve seen Matthew’s videos pop up on my feed from time to time and have stumbled onto a few of his shorts. This is the first full length video I have seen of his. I slowly getting back into the dating game, but I wonder if his videos apply to both men and women or is his target audience only women. I ask because men and women have different approaches when it comes to dating. So far he makes some great points. I just want to make sure I’m getting what’s right for me as a man. But so far so good Matt.

I delete the guy / conversation after 24 hours of no contact. I find myself doing a lot of what you're proposing...but I'm here to see if there's anything else I can add to my messaging / dating style that will help me work my way through dating and into a relationship.

An ad for St. Jude's hospital came up with this video. It's the first time I see them mention HTRT. It's heart breaking to want to know how a child with that is doing yet needing to keep your distance from a family friend that no longer communicates with you. The father is the best friend of an ex who at times was abusive. A 12 year relationship that was never right, never whole. Now I'm repeating similar mistakes with a new 1 year relationship that feels even more empty, even though the first 3 months were on fire. Never felt more passionate, then after those 3 months it all came crashing down when I did. I fell at his place and slammed my head against the wall. (Fell when getting up, my leg was numb and gave out) He didn't react well (he thought I was in denial from a possible MS diagnosis) and never took me to the hospital. Yet I still stayed for a year after that. In every instance the night ends with him spooning his dog. Even the night I fell. It actually gets worse after that.

Texting is a lazy cop out to building, or maintaining, a relationship. It is like giving money or giftcards as a gift only because you really don't care enough to spend time and effort shopping for something the person would like. It is quick and easy to send off a text. It takes involvement to have a live phone conversation. Text messages have their place, but they should be minimal at any stage of a genuine healthy relationship.

Ty! Someone said it. Or they are multi tasking On the phone w Someone else and they just text you. So they have a rotation.

You know, I think Matthew’s advice on how to be a more flirtatious and up front while seeking dates is totally on point - however, it seems that most women just tend to respond with silence or by almost feeling offended that you’re “coming on so strongly.” It honestly makes me tired about this whole thing. But maybe the whole point is to not even care about those people. I’m here to go out on dates and be proactive, not to be running into people who are scared about any sort of move by a guy to ask them out.

This was really good Mathew. I'm an older man and do text but have been out of the dating world for a few years now. Trying to fix me from a cheating wife before dating. Text is used as an ice breaker and a little teasing but your right it has to lead to a goal if you want it to. I'm an outgoing person and don't have trouble talking to women really but I am rusty on my game of funny banter and teasing with flirting. This gave me some ideas so thank!! I do best face to face but text is a good way to find out if she is even interested and if so I'm going for it even if it's just a coffee.

I have been talking to someone for 2 months or so. Now talk on the phone every night, trying to balance texts and calls and it's not always easy. Sometimes she will not respond all day at all, she sees them. We talk on the phone every night, maybe she likes to be more direct. Cant let your thoughts get hold of you overthink it. We wanna meet, we feel a connection and communication is good so far. We also know each others intentions and are exclusive. When I text her, I will send pics i take or things im doing. I try to mix it up, but now we talk on the phone lots may not need to text as much. I am sure many in the comments been though this. Now the next step is meeting face to face, someone I was talking to never met so im a little anxious the same may happen here.

Really good advice and I’m happy to learn that it’s aligned with what I started doing when I got back into dating recently. Paying attention to the investment the other person is making and being ready to let go when it’s not working is such a power. And also gives us the time that we can spend on the ones where the investment is mutual😌
