More black and dark grey colors please. I don't like looking like a disco tech.

do the Brooks Running Cascadia 17 *GTX* Shoes

Scott Jurek set the world record on the AT in just 46 days wearing ....... Cascadias. That says a lot about their capability and ruggedness.

Brooks site says it’s not a max cushion shoe. I wish it was. :(

Yeah, I don’t know what happened with me saying that. The Caldera 7 is def their Max cushioned trail shoes. Super plush and comfortable. kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3PXiJh8fJqNndk

so beautiful shoes but is this suitable for 100 miles race sir?
@timetorunchannel10 ай бұрын
Great question. I’d say you might be better off with the Caldera 7. I’ve been testing that shoe for a bit and I’d much rather run longer sessions in the Caldera 7 than the Cascadia. Hope that helps!

@@timetorunchannel Thank you so much for your suggestion but I don't like the design of Caldera 7

Is cascadia 18 gtx waterproof thanks
@timetorunchannel3 ай бұрын
Yes, it is. Their Air mesh upper has a water proof membrane designed by Gore-Tex and utilizes their Invisible Fit technology

@@timetorunchannel thank you. Im wondering if cascadia 17 would do the job of cascadia 18 gtx
@timetorunchannel2 ай бұрын
Not if you’re trying to prevent water from getting in the shoe. The Cascadia is just like every other shoe and will let water in. They make a GTX version for the 17 if that helps to know. And it should be discounted these days

I have the 16GTX version and they are superb winter trail runners. The traction is like knobby tires on a truck. Ice snow rain streams puddles, Nothing can stop you! I also hike mountains in them. I would not run road races in them. I would not tun cross country races either , They are bulky built like tank all terrain shoes. Built for protection and traction …NOT Built for Speed! I own 2 pairs and use them alot for my off road adventures. One of my favs

100% agree with your assessment. Yeah the GTXs would be legit for our winters. Thanks for adding to the conversation Michael!

Does the grip hold on slightly hardened ice ?
@michaelpalm221011 күн бұрын
@@bandhanpramanik8496 NO they are not super grippy on ice. I feel that the lugs are a harder rubber composition. I think a softer outsole like a vibram would be better on ice
