Dr. Lacey Bagley is a queer Mormon and the owner of Celebrate Therapy. She has been married for 14 years to her husband Evan and together they have 2 young children. She’s polyamorous and is navigating, with happiness, this chapter of her life.
What does the intersection of Mormonism and sexuality look like for Lacey? After devoting your whole life to religion, how can you reconcile its doctrine and policies against people like you? What advice do you have for others?
In this episode, Lacey takes us through a very candid discussion of the difficult and beautiful parts of her story.
It’s honest. It’s hopeful. It’s a necessary discussion.

Had a very similar experience as a closeted queer person in the church. The “we welcome everyone” trope simply does not check out and it’s devastating. Thank you Lacey and Kyle for a wonderful and needed conversation.

I have personally benefited so much from Celebrate Therapy, as a queer person in a mixed orientation marriage. Getting to know more about Lacey's story has been so validating, comforting and empowering. She is truly an amazing person. ❤

To add to the metaphors, mormonism creates outer darkness for queer people, then leaves them there.

under polygamy marriage she's not sining its a beautiful loophole in the mainstream lds/ect faith and anyone said otherwise isn't being honest about it as iv reading 📖ect and was practiced in the 1800's and the government and mainstream lds needs to issue licenses ( 5 maximum ) for marriage LGBTQ 🏳‍🌈👍and stop the discretion against bi's it's only males sexual activity homosexual activity thats a sin in lds but im not USA 🇺🇸 legally caring you do u, im straight but love 💕Polly bi-female's and im better for it

So many of the founders and leaders were in poly situations, yet any modern member is condemned for doing it safer, legally, and with consent. The Mormon church is F'd up.

Omg, 13:00 old memory: I got a visit from the bishop mid-1990s, when someone “told on me,” that we held hands in a circle during family prayer. We were NOT to do that, it was imitating the temple prayer. I’m so glad I’m out of the church. They try to control everything.
