Thanks Sir. A and B are legality based classifications: Legal vs semi-legal Khatas. Whereas Manual vs E-Khata means how record keeping happens (manual registers v/s fully digitized). Both classifications are different. This way, E-khata is only a book of account (digitized), does not indicate anything about the legality. So I can still have a A-Khata property in E-Khata format, is this correct understanding Sir?

Sir, I am from Mangalore. We still have RTC in many a places here and in the suburbs and villages ,both for converted and not converted lands. From what I understand, the present khatas are maintained to collect taxes,by the local bodies ,when the land gets converted . On conversion the revenue tax being paid the revenue authorities, stop. For unconverted still the revenue authorities collect tax. While RTC system is transparent and can be viewed publicly, khata system is not . May be with E khata this weakness can be overcome.
