Happy New Year champions! 2024 will be amazing! =)
Great training day yesterday! Unfortunately I got sick in the evening and threw up about 5 times during the night... But I seem to be feeling a bit better today! Semi-pro MMA fight in just 17 days! Stay tuned! =)
For those interested in a training program you are welcome to check out Sky University 2.0 :)

Calisthenics is a superb foundation for MMA. You may be starting late, but any knowledge enthusiast would know former champions were born in their 30's. Edit: best wishes and thank you for returning to KZbin

If you like squating quad dominant you might want to try elevating your heels. I built a wooden squat wedge for this purpose, and by elevating the heels you allow for yoir knees to go further forward (over toes as many people say nowadays), thus putting more stimulus (or strain) on the quads.

excellent point! that's why I'm using weightlifting shoes with elevated heels. =)

Try not to murder your opponent. You may have to hold back. Hey does your calisthenics strength seem to be transferring a lot? Like do you feel how weak the guys are??
@Carlos-bk5is
@Carlos-bk5is Жыл бұрын
I’m not on his level but many calisthenics exercises train scapular movement which transfers Into punching.

I wil not... Last time I held back it cost me the win. I want a high kick KO! Yes it does! strength is strength and it's always better to be strong than weak... and despite the fact many pro mma athletes neglect proper strength training most of them are very gifted athletes who are training diligently and are quite strong overall! there is no sheep amongst wolves... =)

@@DominikSky1 Fk yeah. Just dont over reach with high kick. Play it smart. Use your strengths which in your case is most likely your actual strength. Seems like you got elite level pulling strength so you can grab his ass and its gonna be over. Prayers for you. I might not watch the fight. I dont wanna see people i really like fight. Unless im near by and can jump in haha.

Do you do normal sparrings? I think you shouldn't waste time on sparrings like the one at the end of the video. And those calisthenics sessions will only result in you being out of breath much faster than if you wouldn't do them. And about that running up the hill - as I understand you're doing it to have some kind of interval training, but the way you do it will only make you exhausted much earlier in the fight. All those things from the video only put you in a disadvantage of you want to fight

@@DominikSky1 thanks for understanding, I said what I said because I've been your subscriber for ages and I really think you should either stop thinking about MMA or start training for it effectively. I'm speaking from my experience - you should find a good coach and train smart. If you sprint uphill you'll be good at sprinting uphill, if you lift weights you'll be good at lifting weights, of you want to be good at fighting you have to sparr a lot!

Do you actually believe that you can win your fight while training like this. This is not real training, and even if you win your amateur fight, you are delusional to think you will get to the UFC with your level of BJJ and wrestling.

Bro if you dont like what ppl do why watch it? and especially why do you take minutes out of your precious day to confirm that with a response. this man is incredibly intelligent when it comes to training and now applies it to mma training even though it is unconventional. and I'm very curious to see how he will do. and who cares if he loses (which I absolutely cannot see happening) he enjoys the training and the process. so stop being so negative my g

@@robbeduys911 I actually trained with the guy in Ljubljana. I can tell you he lacks in the grappling perspective. I take time of my life to write this comment, because how can someone shit on Slovenian wrestling when he has no idea about it and how can someone be so delusional claiming that he is going to get to the ufc by the next year (with this kinf of training) and thinks he can have an amateur fight every month. Calisthenics is one thing but mma is whole another universe.
