I loved this workout! Great choices for someone with a growing belly. The music was calming, which helped my breathing, but I got a great little sweat. It would help to have some verbal instructions because I felt I lost some flow when looking up at the screen and maybe to guide form a little bit. I will def be incorporating this regularly for the rest of my pregnancy. Thanks!

Seriously, I was surprised that there was no instruction at all. It was good exercise and felt pretty good, but it was kind of stressful to have to keep craning my neck to look and see if I was doing it correctly while still trying to focus on what I was doing. It went so fast too.

I love that this workout is without talking. Just like Pamela Reif’s work outs. It can be annoying at the beginning but once you get used to it, you realize that it’s more efficient and productive for you when it’s straight workouts instead of talking. Almost all pregnancy workouts are with instructions and talking that’s why I didn’t like them. This one is great.

Nice workout! But I thought one should not do planks while pregnant especially after the belly starts showing, because it can cause/worsen the abdominal muscle split. Is this true?

Dear CactusRose, thank you for your comment! I'm not qualified to give medical advice but I can share my perspective: normal' planks with your elbows on the ground and your back and leg in one straight line (no knees on ground) should not be done as this puts too much pressure on your abdominal muscles! I like plank variations, e.g. on your knees or on the side with your knees on the floor like in my video as it shifts the weight to your back, glutes, arms and side abs. Those kind of planks are actually great to prepare for birth as we need our upper abs and back muscles to push out this cute little baby. But please, always listen to your body and if it feels too much, stop or pause.

Hi Ella, I am so glad to hear that you are pursuing a healthy pregnancy! This pilates workout is suitable for any level. Since you are a beginner I recommend to take it slow. If you feel like it's too much, just do the first 10 minutes of the workout. If you want to do the full workout, you can always pause the video and continue when you are ready! Step by step! Enjoy your pregnancy!

I liked this workout, however I found it hard to follow and frustrating at times. A couple of suggestions that would make your videos easier to follow are to include Left Side or Right Side in the pose title and then to figure out how to show upcoming move in a little square on the right top of the screen during rest. This would let folks know what is coming up and what side to be on. I will do the video again and am sure I will find it easer!

Dear Jelan, congrats to your pregnancy! I am not sure what your source is but pilates is safe for all trimesters - including the first trimester. There are exercises that should be avoided but I of course didn't include any of those in my videos. You should still always get a go from your healthcare provider before exercising. If something feels off, I suggest making an appointment with your obgyn. I hope I was able to take some stress away. All the best!

Hey most of these moves are great! However you should not be doing full planks after mid pregnancy as it can worsen DR with all of the pressure as well as gravity, even with the down dog thrown in there, I would never suggest full planks late in pregnancy to my clients. Just a little heads up so may want to put a disclaimer on that move

I didn’t find these excercises suitable for all trimesters, especially for the ladies in their 3rd trimester. I am on 29th weeks, I am pregnancy yoga instructor and also doing reformer Pilates with PT.. some of these excercises (like down dog and plank, side planks etc..) may hurt the pregnant body or may effect blood pressure and cause dizziness. Also you could encaurage the use of assistive equipments against joints tenderness..

Hi beautiful, if you are pregnant, you will probably and hopefully not see any weight loss on the scale. But if you train on a regular basis (2-3x week) your body will get leaner and therefore look slimmer (except your belly if you are pregnant :))

The workout itself was nice…. But after 5 minutes I gave up. Loud music with no verbal guidance drove me crazy 😅
