There's contradictory info on Carrey and his death metal affinity. His son-in-law, himself a death metal vocalist, a few years back insisted Carrey hated death metal. Paul Mazurkiewicz not long ago stated Cannibal Corpse nearly turned down the Ace Ventura thing because of tour conflicts, and when they actually got on set after Carrey re-arranged shooting dates for CC (!), he allegedly was ridiculously happy and even knew all the lyrics to Hammer Smashed Face and Rancid Amputation. That said, Carrey's take on Napalm Death, as condescending as it may look, actually is executed pretty fondly and with some *in* knowledge. So who knows. Maybe now Carrey is born again metal hater considering death metal one of his youth mistakes.
