That to me is the sound of sacrifice by the few so that the could have a tomorrow, My eternal gratitude. If I won the lottery I’d see if they would fly my brother from there base to Aberdeen airport, now I would willingly use all if I’d won said lottery just to see a smile on his face

This was shot on the Saturday. Not quite so many flew on Sunday (when it was sunny)

CRO, is that an early one, was it porpoising as the undercarriage was manually pumped??

No its a mk xvi. Later war spit, 1944. almost identical to a late mark ix, although the mk xvi has a Packard merlin instead of a rolls Royce merlin.
