I can never get enough of you and your family Lucas. Today has not been a good mental health day for me, in the run up to Christmas I have had no choice but to do more than my body likes these days and today my pain levels finally reached maximum yet still had to carry on and it was hard. I was in extreme pain and my mood hit a very low point and then a video from you popped up just as I was settling down for attempted sleep. I can never resist your video and I am so so glad I didn't. You all made me smile especially lily Ann checking your levels were correct. So Thank you for putting a smile on my face before I go to bed 😊 Oh and in the UK NO plug sockets are allowed at all in a bathroom and must be a certain distance away from any water source in the kitchen (don't know exact distance though 😂). I love the brick look, my history with my brick wall in my old farm house has leed me to understand that a gloss paint looked horrible, gave me head acks, so I had to strip it and left it white washed and it solved that problem. It just looked to bright and shiny and cheep. I look forward to seeing your wall completed.

Consider "whitewashing" the brick walls. Gives you the "lightness" you want, but also retains the character of the brick, and you can easily clean it. You can get it as a stain or as a paint. Good luck 👍

If you're without electricity and use any type of charger or generator only plug your freezer in for an hour or two, then unplug it. Keep the door closed. The thermal mass inside from all the frozen foods only needs occasional boosting with the power source. Same for your fridge

22:10 the thing is, no matter what code says about gfcis, if you must have them or not in your area. In every case it's smarter to have one. If one doesn't believe me, I have plenty of nice pics of people burned by electricity from the course I took at the professional association for electricians here in Germany. And as father of 2, there's never something like too much safety. we have gfcis for the whole house. Over here it's common to have them in the main fuse cabinet. I cannot believe how much you have gotten done and as you said the children.......wow have they grown. Sarah was expecting the baby only last year it seems and look at her now. Absolutely unreal. They have doors (typically glass, but your Amish builder can make it of wood too, I'm certain) just like what you want, and there is likely someone selling hardware kits for them too.

What a Wonderful Christmas Eve Surprise - a video from my Favorite You Tuber, very nice! I've been with you many years. Thank you. Wow - it's been 7 years - TRULY a labor of LOVE. You have touched EVERY square inch of this house at least once and some, multiple times. Your attention to detail is so impressive and the house is shining with your touch and love. So much of your energy has been put in this house; I do believe houses absorb energy from the occupants that have resided there. This is such a Wonderful Home and you already have great memories with so many more to come. Love the built in for the pantry area, it's similar to the one in your dining room/hall area. I like how you've really thought it out and some of the sections will be pass-through to the pantry, brilliant idea! The entire panty is going to be awesome. I have a walk-in pantry, but nothing like yours will be, I think every house should have one. Counter tops - I'm currently loving butcher block. The granite could be for the island area, if you're putting one in. I like the design you're going with for with the walls, brick n' beams - it will look amazing. Such impressive progress! so many thoughtful decisions. I am beginning year 6 of my "2 year" project! My favorite wiring decision was to do outlets for the bedside lights on three way switches. I can turn on the bedside lights when I walk in the room and then switch them off right from the bed. I use this feature every single night.

You can buy brick fronts. Since you are going to paint them, why not just use them instead. They are made out of a baked clay or plaster. I used them. Takes time but looked great.
