I happened to be working at a gun store about 10 years ago when a "young hippie" woman walked in. I mean she was dressed like she stepped right out of Woodstock, long straight hair, sandals, long floral print wrap dress, and a bag made from old blue jeans. She wanted to look at knives so naturally I had to suggest getting a gun. She said Eleanor was all she needed and kept her with her all the time since her grandfather gave it to her. So I asked what it was and she pulled out a Colt 1911!! Seems her everyday carry is a US marked Colt 1911 that the serial number dated to 1912!! She didn't buy anything and we never saw her again, I'm pretty sure she was a glitch in the matrix.

At 18:35 Eli tells the story about the AC556 in a defensive gun use. The employee of HK(he eventually founded Al Mar Knives)was chased by a pickup with roadraging bikers in it. He was trying to get away from them but they chased him across multiple towns and they wouldn't leave him alone. He decided to run to his job that had a security gate around it. He hoped once he was through the gates they would leave him alone. The bikers came through the gate after him. He got out of the truck armed with his full auto AC556, told the biker "leave me alone I have a machinegun!". The biker replied "I'm not afraid of you or your machinegun!". Those were the biker's last words. The guy defended himself and killed the biker. The prosecutor tried to convict the defender saying he used a "machinegun" and it was overkill. The FBI had an undercover agent or informer(I can't remember which) that testified the biker was definitely not intimidated and was going to kill him if he didn't defend himself and his girlfriend that day.

Actually, a Walther PP. Yinz guys went to Pittsburgh 'n' At and didn't talk about one of the rarest 1911A1s? Union Switch & Signal! Made in Swissvale PA, just five minutes from downtown. Only made 55,000 1911A1s plus some M1 carbine receivers. If you find a "National Postal Meter" carbine with a "U" on the receiver tang, or a "Quality Hardware" one marked "UnQuality Hardware", those were both made at the Swissvale factory.
