1920's antique German juicer ALEXANDERWERK - Restoration

Here is a new video !!
This is an antique Press juicer, made in Germany around 1920 by ALEXANDERWERK.
It was pretty much rusted, so I decided to use chlorydric acid to remove it, and it worked fine...
I decided not to use epoxy resin to preserve the patina

Thank you Damien. Actually I still have the same setup... In the previous videos I used to put the ligths here and there, full power, and I didn’t take care of how it looked like. I’m now trying to adjust the light more carefully... well I’m glad you noticed all my efforts !! 😃🙌

Damn, man, u did a fantastic job ! The juicer looks beautiful ! It´s a pity that here in Germany, such things land in the trash....I´ve seen so many juicers like this one, and other similar stuff from " Alexanderwerk " being thrown away ( I work at a Recycling shop ) , because they´re dirty, rusty, and just out of fashion.....great u saved one !

Nice job that color looks just like Austin Heaney blue. In the future if you think you’re working with chrome and have to sand it, it is extremely toxic to breathe so use a wet sanding method.

I don't get it, you used the sand blaster, with sand, looks like, but you cleaned the metal with acid 1st, a completely unnecessary step, especially with sandblasting

If I sandblast rust I’ll have rust in the tank, instead of glass beads...I don’t use sand but glass beads, very expensive and it must be clean as much as possible. Hydrochloric acid is just a first and necessary clean. Thanks a lot for watching and also commenting ! 🙌
