In this video I'm prepping for an upcoming customer project! This beautiful all original, running, driving, 1933 Chevy Eagle came into the shop a month or so ago for some major changes. Just a little warning for the purists out there, its not going back to stock.... Future plans include a small block Chevy backed with a 700R4, triangulated 4 link rear, and upgraded front suspension components. But all of that is for later, this video is all about the teardown!

For me, the two most important model years for these mainstream American cars was 1932 & 1933. The 1932 models were the pinnacle of the previous more boxy designs, but with slanted windscreens that really completed the style. For 1933, the old exposed radiator core was now a thing of the past with stylish grille shells & new "hint of streamlining" styling. The '34 model years were mechanicly improved, but the facelifted styling didn't really do it for me. This applies to Chev, Ford, Plymouth & Dodge. So if you are a Chev man, then '32 & '33 are the best looking choices.

That street rod looks like a nice project, but I'm more interested in the Chevy pickup.

Man IDK but could definitely use that engine, or at least the carb, intake and exhaust manifold for my 1930

Hey Ben, I’m damn glad to see another one of your great videos! Man it’s been a while. I look every single day to see if you’ve posted one and I was on this one like white on rice! You don’t mess around when have things to get done! Man I could use your help on my ‘30 Model A! I’m trying to figure out how much to shorten my 9” rear end. The old one 54” WMS to WMS. Anyway, take care brother and be well. Looking forward to more videos from you!!😎

3:09; “flat head screws” that why they call old Chevys “Stove Bolts” because they were assembled with “Stove Bolts”…….Term comes from old wood stoves that were assembled with flat head slotted bolts.

That car will drive better and look better with a V8 and modern drive train. Those will be good videos to watch when you set and build the suspension

I would have rather seen something like a mid fiftys chev., 6 cyl. mayby w 4-5 speed, and later rear. But, Thats just me! The flathead screws are where the term "stovebold" comes from! Dubs

Can't wait to see it! Does a Mustang two front end fit under a 33 Chevy?

There are plenty of 34-35 kits out there, but not necessarily for the 33, although there are a couple of choices for the 33, but big $$$.... From what I see on frame sizes the frame width at the front cradle should only be 1/2 different between the 33 and 34 chassis, but the rear of the frame is a few inches different. I know where a 34 master is with a mustang two already installed, I'm going to go measure it up first but I'm guessing I can use the 34 master ifs kit on the 33....

Sweet car and yes, I would rod it too, did I miss something on the yard art or is it in idle for a bit

In idle for a bit, trying to wrap up 3 different customer cars right now so the A isn't getting much attention. Have a ton of hours in the 58 caddy, series on that shortly... Also been wrapping up that 30 snowbird and 51 Chevy in the showroom.... Also my engine shop is moving to a new building so we are holding off on bringing the A engine stuff to them until they are moved.... Soon...

Will there be a video on the model A soon? It’s been a while since the last one.

To be honest, I haven't been able to touch it for a couple of months now other than sandblasting the fenders. Ive been working on the 58 Caddy nonstop plus the 30 model a in my showroom as well as finishing the 51 Chevy that's been here forever. Taking care of the customer jobs lately. My engine shop is also in the middle of moving to their new building so we decided to wait on starting the engine until they are in there. I will be back on it, hopefully soon, but really trying to wrap up these 3 projects to clear my shop out and allow for the model a to be focused on again as well as some other cool KZbin projects builds I have lined up. 👍
