What would be the possibilityof putting some components on a prototype board? It seems like it would make things a lot more cleaner and easier to fix rather than have it all dangling

For Continental Radio and Television this actually was one of their first tabletop chassis to have a permanent mount speaker. Not so cheap as getting ahead of the ever changing electronics game back then. Still safety wasn't their strong suit in coming up with technological advancement. Never touch the bare metal of the pots when this baby was plugged in. Yikes! Doing what you can to make it "safer" to use is paramount here and thanks for demonstrating how to do it. It's actually Continental Radio and Television Co. model 5S if you want to find a schematic for it which has some voltages written on it. Common sense isn't very common nowadays. Tik Tok will shut itself down in the US on January 19th. Did you know China itself banned it long before it even became popular in the US? It think that spells its doom. It is a great radio as long as one changes out the coupling caps in it which I see was done but not mentioned.👍

Considering all the years that you have been on YT, you certainly haven't devrloped any camera man skills and using your gloved finger to point out a component is slao needing your attention. Use a pencil or a plastic probe would be helpful. And what's the issue of news comentary? I tuned in to your channel to maybe learn something about radios NOT current events.
