The blurb in the museum says it was designed to be the fastest car on four wheels. Uh, that car has SIX wheels!

Yep, sure does! American Eagle claimed fastest woman on four wheels but amongst all the other BS it had five!

A turbine car was needed to win this car in 1975 reaching 710 km/h only... that´s pathetic if we are talking about 35 years later. How i love the German Technology...

600 kmh on wire wheels? That means 600kmh on tube tires! You would have to be crazy!

It isn't a jet with wheels it has a three thousand horsepower bf109 tuned engine. Remember the first jet plane was tested a week before ww2 in Germany and this was designed in 1937 but completed in 1939.

Cyber Formula Even before the Cyber formula anime was a thing. The only thing missing is the cyber system.

Ehra-Lessien in Germany is better than Nardo. That has a nearly 10 km long straight. Supercars like Bugatti Veyron are usually tested on that.

Am I correct in assuming this is powered at the wheels? WOW, so sad yet alluring having never being tested. I would love to know if she could hit that 373MPH design speed? Incredible engineering.

I really know but I don't know where they can test the car but that's it

Roads arent that smooth at high speeds and there are turns and other things you cannot control which are big safety risks. High speed testing is done at oval speed rings like Nardo or salt flats

Designed by Ferdinand Porsche no less.

Ofcourse there are still peole who test their own sport cars top speeds on public roads, but those arent 600 km/h speed range. Even 300 km/h starts to feel bumby ride in BMW M5 on most motorways

It's a unique piece of history, the only prototype ever built. They are never going to let it hit the road.
