Another awesome video buddy. I tried to order a complete carb rebuild kit fro CaseIH and the actually told me to call Steiner or yesterday’s tractors because through the dealership it would be $279
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Craig! Yes, the dealer has become OUTRAGEOUS in prices. I think they are trying to phase out a lot of parts for these tractors simply because they want folks to buy new tractors. All comes down to money, I suppose.

Hello Kenny, Have you ever heard of a company called Motion Industries, I could always rely on them to find me a Bearing or Seal for older Equipment when I was a service tech on the road. Take Care and be Safe Bud👍
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch4 жыл бұрын
Yessir - I have heard of motion. Actually, a friend of mine highly recommends them as well. Sometimes, though, when you can find some nice NOS bearings for a good price it is worth picking up. A lot of times they come in their original tin cans, too!
@ihus99504 жыл бұрын
@@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch I agree with you on NOS parts if there available. 👍

I enjoy your videos of the H project Kenny! I am going to be replacing the felts and seals on the axle carriers on my H. I noted the part numbers here, but may I ask where you ordered them from? Thanks !
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Don! Glad you enjoyed. The seals themselves I ordered from Amazon, or eBay I believe (they are available from either resource). They are also available from your Case IH or aftermarket dealers (Steiner, Yesterday's Tractors, etc.)... The felts are available through Case IH, and also from Steiner or possibly Yesterday's Tractor. Aftermarket vendors are usually less expensive than the dealer. Don't forget the seal retainer gaskets - you can buy or make them yourself.

Kenny Kizzle Rusty Nutz Ranch Thanks Kenny! I hope you and your wife has a safe and enjoyable trip to Colorado. I love it there myself! I go to Durango, CO most of the time, but I have been to other areas, like Estes Park.

I have a question for you. I'm getting a little oil in my break on my H, would it be the seal that you just installed, or is there a seal around the shaft that could be leaking?
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch4 жыл бұрын
It could be both. It is likely the brake seal around the drum - I will show this seal in the next video.

Why can't you heat the bearing in the oven ? Do you want to live to see your honeymoon or something.
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch4 жыл бұрын
Something like that! Ha ha
@ralfie88014 жыл бұрын
Kenny Kizzle Rusty Nutz Ranch You could always pick up an old hot plate to heat bearings with at a yard sale. Keep yer eyes open for one Kenny!
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch4 жыл бұрын
@@ralfie8801 That's not a bad idea! A 30 second heating cycle with the torch and it drops right onto the axle. Not a big deal.
@ralfie88014 жыл бұрын
Kenny Kizzle Rusty Nutz Ranch Yes, but I've always been discouraged from heating bearings directly with a flame because of the risk of accidentally overheating the cage that separates the rollers. It's not really a problem with larger bearings like in this video,, but with a small bearing it's a definite possibility. Using a hot plate, or the wife's oven will completely avoid the problem. I got some crossways looks when I used our oven to bond a new fiber disc to a PTO clutch on a Case 448 garden tractor one time. But a hot plate wouldn't have done that job either, it required baking for almost an hour at around 400 degrees if I remember right.
@KennyKizzleRustyNutzRanch4 жыл бұрын
@@ralfie8801 very true, sir! Large bearings are easy to heat with a torch, as you said. I can definitely see how small bearings would present an issue. I would be dead meat if I tried to heat a bearing or any tractor part in our oven, that's for sure!
