Never before filmed, this WW2 Army Air Forces Air Crew Lunch was a small boxed ration issued to pilots and airman on long flight missions as a morale & energy boosting snack. Most of the remaining units are in private and un-seen collections. For your virtual museum viewing pleasure and at no cost, I give a detailed analysis on the ration's purpose, history, and on each component and short change nothing in this incredible experience.
On my top 3 rarest and most amazing ration finds to date. It was worth every penny of $320 - and the box will now have no more degradation from the slowly but surely melting candy inside it.
An old friend named Kristy had actually located this very ration 2 years ago for me. It was out of my price range then. It disappeared and then re-appeared recently for only $20 more than it had been priced at before. This time I could not let the opportunity pass. Confirmed it was the same one as the stains on that last unit matched 100% to this one.
July 2018 will be nothing but WW2 reviews. Up next is a very rare and never before filmed Navy survival kit that weighs 13 pounds.
For correspondence, or to send a Military Ration for review, my mailing information is:

Hey everybody, this video was originally set for release for this past weekend but the editing process was much more labor intense than originally expected. So here it is. I just filmed a 13 pound WW2 Pilot's survival kit and am now editing it. Sifting through 2 1/2 hours of footage. Was perfect to film during the Fourth of July as one of the items is an old flare projector. It has it all including rations. As for this video, I hope you all enjoy it for the rarity it is. My apologies for the slight sweating and also that weird bit of candy or something under my left thumbnail by minute 9. Hopefully that does not detract from the experience. Also, I am not sure why I kept calling the one jelly drop blue when it was more like aqua. But it was blue enough for me. A somewhat long video, but I felt it deserved as much detailed coverage as it could get as I am almost certain this one will never be filmed again. Thank you to everyone for checking this one out.

I just happened upon your channel and I actually teared up watching this one. My grandfather was a tail gunner in WWII with the 301st Airbone Bombgroup. We were incredibly close and I did tons of research and listened to his stories for years. We lost him 2 years ago on his 91st birthday. But he left behind his stories. This video brought back to memory the stories he would tell about the crew members nervous waiting to hit their targets they always broke out the candy portion before hand but NEVER the chocolate. No that was saved for when they successfully completed their mission. As soon as the plane turned back towards the base he said everyone would break out their fudge bars and eat it in silence. He said this was a ritual of a lot of the army Air Force flight crews. It was almost like a good luck ritual of sorts. I just want to say thank you for bringing back to memory something so precious to me. My awesome grandfather!

There is a B-17 pilot at Pima air and space museum, he volunteers there everyday. He told me the B-24 was weaker because of its fork tail configuration, if you look at a B-17 the tail fin is a large part of the air frame that provides strength witch the 24 lack's.

Mr. Spoon Right? B-24 was sensitive while the B-17 could handle the jarring and punctures of flak. Two engineering feats of the u.s.: the jeep and b-17. Unlike Germany's over engineered and complicated tanks and aircraft that the 'average' soldier couldn't repair. Simple, yet crude, but get-the-job-done-anyone-can-repair American made which is something Europe actuctually sees as a fault and bewildering. Even our tactics at the time~ axis forces couldn't figure it out~ ha
