Hi Steve. My 7 year old son LOVES your reviews, he thinks you’re so cool that he begged us for his own mre rations for Christmas last year. When we took him out to the woods to open them, he tried his best to do them like you do. He gets so excited when you post a new video. We are now following you for over a year, and we love your videos. Have a great day!

I highly reccomend getting him Canadian rations. Most are pretty good, but if you get the Poutine I wouldn't hold my breath that it would be good. I haven't had it but poutine is literally french fries with gravy so... chip truck food doesn't translate well into a military ration.

Steve, my dad was in the AAF in the Marianas in 1944 - 46. I remember him mentioning the synthetic lemonade and the tropical chocolate. He grew up near Hershey, PA and was not a fan of the chocolate ration. He also said most guys hated the lemonade. He used to tell stories about how they got wood from B-29 parts shipping crates and built an Officers club. (the technical crews actually did finish assembly of some planes on the island) He said the Army had an armed forces radio station and a coca cola bottling plant on the island. But no ice. Allied airforce pilots flew in liquor from the States and beer from Australia but had no mixers for drinks. So apparently there was a great deal of trading between the services because the Navy had ice. Anyway he told a story about once drinking vodka mixed with iced "lemonade" in the officers club. Some guys set him up by not telling him the lemonade was spiked. He guzzled it down but didn't want to let on that he'd been fooled. "So I didn't say anything, and proceeded to read the news paper upside down." Nice. Love your videos. Miss you dad.

I like how the lemonade says "Synthetic". I guess making lemonade like that with those ingredients would be considered synthetic in the 1940s. Wait till you get to lemonade making in 2018 sunshines !:P

You need to do a Q&A video. Where viewers submit questions and you answer? Would love to know things like what got you into collecting? What's your favorite one you've had? Worst? Opinion on which country has the best rations? Most expensive ration purchased? Etc... Keep up the great work!
