Actually that's wrong, the BTTF car was a real convertible and if you look in the movie scenes in this video you can see the straight windshield frame, A pillars and vent window/frame (very different than a coupe) that proves it was a real convertible but beside that, there is a video on KZbin of a '46 coupe with the roof cutted out and the owner claims it was the actual movie car, but actually it was not, btw this video and the blue convertible is stunning
