@@zyanidwarfare5634 yup I've had a few rust buckets like this jeep over the years. I had a 66 Jimmy that this happened to and a jeep cj3 postal truck that it happened to me in. It's solid steel it don't got crumpled zones the things basically a metal brick that's one of the reasons it's so dangerous g-forces in a crash would go through you but luckily this thing don't get a roll cage or anything so you just go flying and then gravity would kill you remember to smile while you hit the pavement
@masterkamen371

@@plantainsame2049 Well yes, but that's only valid when the vehicle isn't structurally compromised. When the steel cars rust out, the passenger compartment weakens while the engine and back usually stay rigid. So in a crash the whole thing collapses.

@@EverettCrowl you can still draw on a piece of paper despite it being ripped, or blackened and smudged up. Same as this, it's the engine the chassis that runs it, not the body of the automobile. And not everything has a multifunctional choice of speed at all times, you see back in the day we had this excellent thing called creativity, you could have a performance automobile, and a slower smooth driving automobile, and not have both in one. Give yourself more variety, not a plastic molded frame they had years to think on changing, and choose the same goddamn design every other auto car has today. Also rust can be removed, it isn't like it's atoms are weakened. Can society stop making fun of older automobiles anywhere from 2010 sometimes, to 1980, to 1964, 1952, 1941, 1937, 1920, 1913, 1902, 1890, 1883, 1871 and in between all of those years more than just the example years I provided. I absolutely love the way first gear sounds. There's something about driving these old, simple vehicles that it just so enjoyable. In 2017, I finally got to drive my grandmother's Fiat Panda while in Italy, and that thing was so much more like a go-kart than I was expecting. Supercars make for excellent weekend toys, but these open-top, relatively slow, scary manuals truly bring out the thrills.

Driving a barely running old thing like this is sometimes more fun than having a fast, modern car. You just gotta feel like it. I live in Middle Europe, we had this socialist car called the Skoda 120L (or Skoda Estelle in the UK, not sure they exported it anywhere else). Rear-engined, rear wheel drive, makes... some power. Around 54hp. I had a '77 one of those in similarly... "panoramic" condition, I mean I had a great view to the road beyond me as well. But it was running and I used it before it was restored. Great fun. Scary fun though, and not one the police likes.

That was the best effing car related video I have ever seen. I haven't seen rust that gorgeous since the 1970's. Reminds me of an old International Harvestor SUV Suburban type thing my uncle in Riverside had. It was huge and must have weighed about 10 tons. He called it "the old I.H." When I was a kid, we drove it out to Fontana in search of a cheap spare tire. It was like riding in a big metal box with brown vinyl bench seats. The only A/C was rolling down the window by hand crank. Interesting ride. Thanks for the memory.

Here in California, we have no vehicle inspections. Its ironic because California is the most over-regulated and over-taxed state in every category you can think of, especially emissions testing, yet there are no safety inspections. Your car can be in unsafe condition to drive and no one cares at all. But if it doesn't pass smog check (emissions testing), you can't renew your tags and is not 'legal' to drive in CA roads until you get it smogged.
