Had a 1950. My grandfather bought it new. It stayed in the family for 65 years. I had it restored, and lived to drive it. Flathead V8 w/ overrdrive. Had to sell it. Tore me up, but urgent issues faced us....

For many years they were looked at as a cheap poor mans car. Not now. The 1949-51 shoebox Fords are a pleasure to drive & I love that unaltered dash and instruments.

if it were up to me.....I'd turn back the calendar........today's computers of four wheels are the ultimate in planned obsolescence.......and most people don't know it.....transportation is most peoples #2 expense.....everyday basic transportation should not be this expensive to buy and repair.....the people are being robbed everyday......just my opinion....from a 50 year mechanic.....
