It looks SO much better without those fender skirts! What a nice car! I believe those miles are accurate. It is just stunning and original!
@muffs55mercury612 жыл бұрын
I agree. I have both a '53 and a '56 Ford and I don't put the skirts on them. They're there for when I sell which isn't going to be for a long time.

Oops!! I stand corrected. This is a 51. My parents owned a 51 two door with a flat head V8 overdrive 3 speed transmission. It was a sweet ride.

Same color because the blue on this really pops!

For 1951 Ford, unlike Lincoln and Mercury do not offered center opening doors, and the rear doors are suicide type. All 4 doors are hinged from the front and open from the rear for safety for 1949 to 1951 models. Ford Motor Company is not 100% of safety. For 1967-1971 Ford Thunderbird does have suicide doors on its 4 door sedan, and so does 1977-1979 Ford Thunderbird.

What did it go for?
@VoloMuseumAutoSales2 жыл бұрын
After a car sells we don't continue advertising any prices. We believe that is only the new owners business.
@scottschmittmusic2 жыл бұрын
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales Thanks , I truly don't think that the owner is watching the old video and wherever the car was being sold it had a public pricetag anyway But regardless, I just saw one for sale and was wondering how to price them because they are all over the place that's all.. thanks

Thanks for that shot of the engine...but it was NOT running.
@VoloMuseumAutoSales3 жыл бұрын
We do not filming any of our b-roll shots with the vehicle running. We are in a enclosed, smaller sized room, so we try to limit the time the vehicle is running.
@pennygretch3 жыл бұрын
@@VoloMuseumAutoSales.................. Fine.......Then you didn't need the sound of an engine running.

Looks like a 1952 to me. The 52 had two bullets in the grill while the 51 had only one. Other than that there was not much difference.
@ruysteinjunior374 жыл бұрын
1949 and 1950 models had only one bullet in the front grille. From 1951 the Ford Custom came with 2 "dagmars" in the front.👍
@larrysmith15684 жыл бұрын
@@ruysteinjunior37 you are absolutely correct. My parents owned a sweet 51. I think the 52 was a body style change.
