1952 Williams DISK JOCKEY pinball machine

Here's a 1952 Williams Disk Jockey pinball machine. This game is one of only a few bingo/pinball machine hybrid machines made by Williams in the early '50's.
The rules of the game are very basic... hit passive bumpers 1 through 5 to light the side lanes for special and the "in-line double" score for the next game. Hitting an operator adjustable 3-in-line, 4-in-line or 5-in line awards between 1 and 20 replays, which is doubled if the passives are hit in order on the previous game. Hitting 5-in-line is practically impossible. If one was lucky enough to get 20 or even 40 credits, they could request that the credits get "paid out" from the bartender or shop keeper or arcade operator and the operator would then press a button under the cabinet to eliminate the credits on the credit reel.
The flippers are standard Williams impulse flippers of the era, so the player can't hold them up in the engaged position. You just get one quick flip and hitting either flipper button activates both flippers in tandem.

Are you pressing both buttons for the flippers or only one? And why do they barely flip?
