That is so cool and amazing looking and I noticed how quiet it is compared to what they make now.

That’s great you found one like mine! You’ve already answered some questions I had about knobs and decals, etc. I would really appreciate a close-up image or two of the front bezel with the knobs if you can snap one for me 🙏. Yours looks to be in much better shape than the one here, especially the front plastic grill. The back fan sounds like it’s contacting the plenum ring or something else. I’d not run it again until you investigate that sound to rule out damage. 👍🏻

I got pictures up on the facebook, the vintage A/c group. As for the fan noise, it’ll be fine. It’ll need to be totally taken apart and cleaned anyways

Just noticed this video. The unit at the end was made by McGraw-Edison Company, I think in the 1960's. It was sold under many different brands including Coolerator, Thomas A. Edison, Kelvinator and several store brands. The unit was left unbranded so it could be sold under any name desired.

Nice to see that slider window unit start up. Definitely the motor needs drops of oil. The unit at the end I’d say is a mystery unit for now. Would like to see a startup video of that and taken apart

Sounds like a Model-T starting up. Looks like a Jebediah window unit. Lol Old Old Old. Believe it or not my grandmother has five window units cooling her home three of them still say Sears on them lmao. I tried explaining to her that two or more window units cost her more to run than one Central system. She won’t let me install a central system because the upfront cost. 😒😒😒

@@kenb1918 Definitely take a vacation when you can this field is pretty brutal what times sometimes you need to get away to clear your mind. I was on vacation about five weeks ago and came back to a total mess since the weather spiked a little over a month ago. Lots of overtime take it when you can get it and retire early. 👍. I have so many people asking me to work on a family members equipment or install new stuff and I do not have time lol.

Remember your body comes first. that broken RTU will be there tomorrow, just take it one day at a time and one service call at a time. Hopefully you’re on the beach somewhere

That one at the end looks like a Welbilt. Thatd be my first guess. If not id put a wager on Amana or Admiral. I even googled the B6810-A mode number and came up with nothing.
