I watched the video just for that reason almost a really suspense filled 10 minutes and relief to see her put on that trailer. Not too many months ago a guy scored one of my dreams. A 59 Apache pickup. A couple from NY moved to our area and they must have put the thing out front late at night on the weed infested lawn of their once abandoned house. My pal Bert was on his way too work when he slammed on the brakes nearly hitting the truck ended up straddling the driveway. There was FREE sign in the window. Yes I said free. Bert spent 15min on the phone telling his boss how sick in bed he was and had to ah go to the doctor I mean call AAA to get the truck home. The friggin keys were in it too. Bert said he passed by the evening before about 7pm and the truck wasn't sitting there. When he did make contact with the couple hours after it was safe behind locked doors inside Berts garage. The couple said it had no title it was sitting under a collapsing carport behind a barn and they knew someone might want it. Bert gave em a $100 bucks he was so over joyed. Some people pay big money for them old Chevy trucks and this one is not in terrible rotted out shape in fact I nearly fainted when I saw how nice it really is even the front seat is still ok.

Ooooooooh hell yeah. One hell of a find that's for sure. Hopefully you build her back to her original glory. I'm a Cadillac man myself even though I really love this car ass well. Talking about Caddys, my oldest daughter has always kept her eyes out for old Cadillacs for me for as long as we both can remember. Her Best friend from high school knows how much I love Caddys as well. First time she met me I was driving a 1979 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham that was slammed on the ground. I tried for 15 years to get her Dad to sell me the 56 Cadillac limousine that he was letting rot away in his back yard. I don't remember the model of the Caddy, just knew it was a 56, factory, limousine. It needed A LOT of work when I looked at the car in 2000. For the most part she was a virgin. All original sheet meal. No body work had ever been done because it wasn't in an accident. Most of the floors were rotting completely out since it was sitting on the frame on the ground. It had been sitting the for such a long time it had a couple of bushes along with other desert plants were growing inside. Even then and knowing what kind of project that I was going to take on I offered him $20,000 cash for it which I had on me since I was hoping to be the 3rd owner of this caddy. Just sucks that he wasn't willing to sell it. He just passed away last year and he never did anything with it. I wish I had the extra money along with knowing when I'll be moving out of Hellifornia to Georgia. I have 3 projects that I have to figure out how to move cross country

My first car at 15 years old was a '57 Plymouth Belvedere convertible in new condition (it was 1964 the car only 7 years old)gold and white, all power accessories, and a 1958 350 Golden Commando V8 under the hood. It was in the middle of a 6 car wreck, but I got another and still have a '57 Belvedere convert and a '57 Belvedere SportCoupe with a '59 Fury engine in it. I hated Christine when it came out because so many were wrecked. In the long run many more are being saved because of the movie. Restore all you can, don't screw with the suspension, it was better than sports cars and still is. They're great cars.
@mikebonora22385 жыл бұрын
Damn Larry!!! how lucky for you to still have two of them. Prior to that movie most people didn't even know what the car looked like or did any one care. Now if you find one that's a rarity. I hope you do still drive them, they're meant to be seen on the road, not stored away to only look at. We must be pretty close in age because I do remember those great looking cars of the late 50's and early 60's. Maybe some day I will have one. Cheers to you!

My dad's first new car ever was a '58 Plymouth. The day he brought it home, he had the hood up checkin it out...a gust of wind slammed the hood on his hand...3 broken fingers. Three months later while we were driving, the car caught 🔥 fire and burned to the ground! Chrysler Corp. Gave him a new car. Kept it 2 years and had the engine rebuilt..(broken crankshaft) ...traded it in on a new Dodge. He said "No more Plymouths....EVER!" (And he was a 43 year employee of Chrysler)

Toy Bus Productions cutting her was not my idea, it was the new owners. The good part about her being chopped up is that she's donating some panels and the roof to convert are 4-door Plymouth to the 2 door hardtop, so it's not going to waste. Actually looks like someone of a decent car with all the parts on, but as soon as I stripped all the parts off I realize how bad it was. The floors in this car were completely gone, someone riveted plastic on the quarter panels for patches the car was just too far gone, had a lot of shitty work from the past.

turbo 6 we bought it as a parts car only and found out later in the line that it was in even worse shape that we thought, this car would basically need everything to be restored. The good thing I can tell you is that it's going to be cut up to turn a 4-door into a 2 door hardtop, so it is being used to bring another Plymouth back to life. We literally stripped every single good part off of it before we sold it, even the dash.
