On today's episode of the 1959 Impala restoration, we demonstrate a DIY method to remove rubber suspension bushings from control arms, and also tear down and rebuild a factory 3.36 ratio Posi rear axle. In the next video, I will show a DIY method to remove the control arm bushing metal shells without a press, sand blast & paint the control arms, and reinstall bushings & finish out the build on the axle. Slowly but surely this 1959 Chevy impala is coming back to life, and I hope you find it enjoyable to follow along with! In addition, I pick up a really nice 1960 Chevy Brookwood wagon which will be a will it run style video at a later date, and I have 2 friends from Sweden stop by in their Chevy ramp truck they bought and are driving across the country with!
Thanks for watching!

Ryan, you have a talented community of people working with you in many of your videos, great to see them sharing their knowledge with you and us. Really enjoying the step by step rebuild on the '59. The Brookwood looks amazing; it looks as if all the glass is intact! Hope the floors and frame are decent! Looking forward to the next installment!

Mate we aren't all genuineness and know what to do before we have done it 😂😅 it's great having someone who is willing to share their knowledge, My grandfather stop teach old ways because it will become obsolete, and we needed to change to White Man's teaching, Greed, and writing etc, cherish the teaching while you can, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones

30 years ago,I beat the bushings outta my 70 nova subframed 55 Studebaker front end with a 3lb. hammer. What was I thinking!Destroyed the front end.All to put drop spindles on with polyurethane bushings in them. All repaired by a real hotrodder,I embarrassed myself on that "money saving" stunt!
