Looks and sounds amazing! This is the only clip of a 390 I have come across on KZbin that doesn't have the typical tick of an exhaust leak (generally stems from a cracked heat riser casting)

Thank you! You are correct this one does not have any exhaust leak or any cracked exhaust manifolds which is very common on many of the old cars.

Runs and sounds great!! Im a bit jealous. Ive got a 1960 Deville. My exhaust always leaks where the manifold meets the exhaust pipe. I cant seem to find information on how exactly its supposed to connect. Is there a donut? If so, do you know which one and where to order? Any help would be very appreciated.

Hello thanks for the compliment! Don't be too jealous yet because this same engine suffered a major problem couple years ago. My father and I had to rebuild this entire engine and recently finished it up and now its running great once again. We did have the same exhaust leak also. Where the exhaust hooks up to the manifold is where the leak was but trying to remove those studs would be impossible. When we rebuilt the engine, we had the machine shop replace with new stainless-steel studs and bolts. If anything should ever need to come back apart or be replaced, it will be much easier now. Now something you might want to try doing on your 1960 is to put some insulation filler where the exhaust and manifold join together to fill in the void there. You will have to cut it out and shape it to get it to work. That is what my father did to muffle the exhaust leak until we could repair it correctly. My last video is the one where I did a 0-100 MPH test just before starting the engine rebuild.
