15:58 Somebody has GOT to save the Statesman Super. The hell with rusty patina, this car deserves a two-tone (factory colors) resto-mod. I'm sure numbers don't pencil out to bring it back all original. Just grab that beautiful, and VERY unique body and drop it on something full sized with similar track and wheel base. Crown Vic?

That Rambler station wagon with a SBC and a Saginaw would make a FINE beach cruiser! Those signs were KILLER purchases! Just can't get over the last several cars and what fine shape they were in. Also, that Plymouth with the limb on the hood was a sweet candidate for a cheap patina resto-mod. Your Chevy station wagon could do no better than a fresh 327 and a Muncie - another era beach cruiser. Just nice finds all over the yard. Cheers!

Liked the 41 Pontiac coupe, at 11:09 that coupe was a 37 or 38 Chevy (hard to tell with key indicators missing). You are right about how straight and rust free many of those Kansas cars were in this video. That 40 Chevy 2 door and that Plymouth fastback could be brought back pretty easy. Even that 51 Nash was pretty straight. Years ago there was not much in between, you either restored a car or you heavily modified a car. It is so expensive to bring back a car and make it 100% original. Going 100% stock and going for car shows is not worth it because you are always competing against big money (and then you are scared to drive it and hurt your investment). The cheaper and best route today seems to be stock appearing with upgraded drivetrain (PS, PDB, 700R4, fuel injection, etc.) kind of like the pro touring route where you can really drive that car and enjoy it and make it drive/handle better than when it was new but still keeps that vintage look (because that is why you like those cars in the first place). Good luck. Oh yeah, I like the signs!

I don’t there’s enough left of that Wagon to “leave it stock”. I think you have to start from ground zero and do a complete build. I’d put something like a 350 in it - mid 60s if you’re going retro or early 2000’s if you want modern convenience. Me? I’d’ve left it in the Junk Yard. 🤷🤷🏻‍♂️🤷

One of the worst automotive descisions I ever made......back around 1982 or '83, I bought a 1963 Chevrolet Impala wagon- totally optioned out ! Power windows, seats, air conditioning. Even had the electric tailgate window ! Really nice paint - white with a blue interior. Had a 283 that ran incredible. I owned it for about six months - never gave a lick of trouble. Then, after putting new tires and some chrome rims ( and air shocks to boot ! ) I traded it for a Jeep CJ-5.....that was nothing but trouble, wrecked it, and let the bank reposes it.....then, I didn't have a car for a long time. Well kids, make good decisions or they will haunt you forever !
