You are very welcome Danny. Sounds like a big project but worth while for sure. Email me some pics so I can showcase your project at the end of one of my videos. Mark

My 1st try at a restore. Lucky for me the car is extremely solid and so far has been "easy" compared to what I see some people dealing with. I'll send some pictures eventually. Thanks for the reply and the vids!

@@dannyparker288 Sounds good. Don't be shy we all started somewhere and it is great to see someone bringing a great car back to life no matter your skill level. Mark

Mark. Really nice Chevelle like you said is she straight!

Hey Rodney, Yes it is and for an older paint job it looks really nice up close. I have to take the car apart to do most of the work but when it is all back together it will ride and run as well as it looks.

Probably in my top 10 of the cars I wish I had, 1965 SS Malibu. I'll be following the serpentine belt installation as I need to do that to the 350 I am running in my panel truck. I believe the best deal I found in the internet was from Speedway Motors.
@FoothillPaintandFabrication2 жыл бұрын
We shopped around for the serpentine system and actually found several that were way less expensive than the well known brands like March. I plan on letting you all know what was spent on the big items as we work on them. It seems with the proliferation of CNC machines out there more and more people are making really nice systems. John really wanted a 65 Chevelle and we were lucky to have found this one so close. It is a nice style and not to big with really nice lines.

@@FoothillPaintandFabrication Wayyy back in high school my cousin had a '64 SS, 283 4 speed, dk blue with black interior & bucket seats. I loved that car, but I think the '65 looks better with different side trim.
@FoothillPaintandFabrication2 жыл бұрын
@@BusyAsABeaver72 I agree, more pop with the trim package.

Another great video Mark! Getting ready to continue the sheet metal work on the 49 Sub. I also need a bullseye picker. Can hardly wait to see your model. Hopefully you don’t mind if I steal your idea and build my own! Thanks again for the informative vids.

Thanks Robert. Good to hear the Suburban will be getting some more love soon, lots of sheet metal on that thing! Steal all you want that is why I started this channel so we all can learn. The Bullseye pick video will drop on Thursday like usual, stay tuned and thanks for the comment keep them coming. Mark

It is a nice car and just before they started getting longer and bigger. It should be a blast to drive when we are all done.
