Got a similar one for $50, 1970, rode as woods bike at 13 years old. Same color. Thanks for the video.

My father had 2 of these before i was even born He had to put them aside when batteries were banned from being imported a few decades back,He still has the frame from one but it's not in so good condition, he does have the engine in one piece. He would sit and reminisce on his times riding them

Where's the turn indicator's and chain guard
@brendonrutherford51182 жыл бұрын
Yes I noticed those two components were missing, I purchased one of these models Honda Benly (Blue model) & it also came with white walled tyres!! Purchase price (new) in New Zealand in 1964 was (NZ pound) 220-00. I actually wanted the larger version of this same said bike which I think had a 300cc or there-abouts engine???? I don't think that model was ever imported into NZ at that time as I lived in Auckland (NZ largest city) & never recall actually seeing one in the flesh but I knew they were available overseas!!

The early run models had a chain guard, then mid production Honda deleted that feature for some reason. Also, for some reason, the USA models of these didn't come with turn signals, but everywhere else did. Maybe we Americans had already become well known for not using our turn signals so they decided to not bother with wasting money on production 😆

What is the difference between the Benly and the Dream?
i bought a benly coil to use on a 49 el panhead they told me that it woulndt work because the engine is a high rpm engine i told them i woulndt rev it up that much.

So what do you have to ride wide-open everywhere you go let's not be very fun
@michaellawrence5492 Жыл бұрын
@@ronalddaub9740 Now at 70 still riding just a 1983 slightly modified Yamaha SX 650 changed the breather filters to pods the seat to a straight mostly level plain profile carved some plastic down to make a very small windshield just enough to keep wind off my face and chest the rear sprocket from 34 down to a 30 to ride taller and longer in the climbing gears only to get up and enjoy the slower lower purr of the revs not to forget a little stretching mpg as a bonus. Time will change how you ride haven't been off the ground in years but do remember when and this was never really the right bike to do them.

*You're 100% correct!* (some of the 'Scrambler' versions did NOT come w/a factory guard...but all Honda street machines always had one)
