My dad got one in 68-69 it was great! I got to drive it because of where we lived

This is my dad’s video, I remember riding on this with him when he first got it, it was one over his fist motorcycles he owned, he still owns it, I love this bike a lot.

My dad used to have a Honda Dream. When I was a young kid (mid-70's) I thought that motorcycle was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. My dad used to take my older brother and me on rides with him. I would sit on the gas tank in front of my dad and my brother sat on the seat behind him. Wonderful memories to see that bike in this video. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for sharing this Singerunkown. I'm 61 now but when I was 14, I hitched a ride to the Honda dealer in Union City, TN. At the time, it was Abernathy's Harley Davidson/Honda. I bought a 1965 Honda 305 SuperHawk in White and rode it home. Obviously it was used. I paid $350 for it. My parents were livid but they let me keep it. I paid cash for it from my lawn mowing money... It was a great motorcycle!!! I pulled the baffles out of the exhaust and the sound was incredible for a 350 cc engine.... Wish I had it back!!

That is a beauty. My first bike was a 1967 Honda 150 dream. I got it brand new for $449.00. 3 other friends had 150 Dreams as well. 2 friends had 305 Dreams. I beat the hell out of it dirt riding and jumping it and then somebody stole it. It wasn't an off road bike but the low center of gravity made it fun for sliding corners speedway style. lol I would love to have another one. Do not jump Dreams. The suspension can't take it for long. Fond memories. Met my wife on that bike.

Brings back memories. I had one in the late 60's, sold it and wound up buying another one the following year. I sold the second Dream to a friend, who took it to the Woodstock festival. When I saw it there I was sorry I sold it. One major problem I had with mine: I broke down on the FDR Drive in NYC. Entire wiring harness had burned up. Other than that, had a lot of fun with it.

She is a beauty - good to know she is out there being ridden not stashed in a museum. Sure brings back memories to me. I recall how smooth it was to ride.

This looks like the one I had back in the seventies. Great bike for it's size. It was great for short road trips. I abused it sometimes with hill climbs and jumping, but it held up well. I used to transport in in the back of my 1967 Ford Country Squire. It would fit laying down in the back. I dearly loved that bike, but sold it to my Brother when I needed money for an emergency.

I had a 65 back in the day, windshield, luggage rack. Mine was white. It was surprisingly torquey for a small engine... would do over 100 mph!

Good that it is in the hands of someone who appreciates it and loves ... and will ride it not just have it die in a museum. I have to guess the museum needed money or closed down. Thanks for posting it. That is for sure a fine piece of history. I love that it is in mint condition and in stock condition.

Very nice bike!, you got a deal! I currently am restoring a '64 CA77 Dream in red. So far I have $2500 in rechroming, and $2200 in paint. Those are two items a hobbyist has no control over. I will have far more into it than what it is worth for sure. Restoration costs are through the roof! But it's a hobby. I also have a nice 305 original paint Superhawk in black, they are worth more than the Dreams for some reason.

The ole Hondas were nice, I had a Honda 90 . It was my older brother's bike but I kept hot wiring it everyday, til finally he let me have it for 50.00. I got a 305 Super Hawk 67 model great bike needed restoring but didn't have time for having too much fun.

The Great old Gladiator helmet looking front fender motor bike! They are reliable, could pull their weight reasonably well being around 27hp and less than 300lbs if I remember. They also could be adjusted on the fly to handle some cross winds what better by tightening or loosing the neck tension. Too bad they did not account for rear spring adjustment other than replacing with round coil ones. Thanks for bringing her back to prime!

I owned and drove a black one back in the early 1970's. I think they came in two colors, black and red. The carburetors didn't let mine idle too well , but it was my 4th bike at the time. Three years later I bought my last bike, a 1972 Honda 450. It has been 40 years now and I never went back to owning a motorcycle. If I found an old 750 automatic Honda , I would try it out and maybe buy it if the price were rite.

to 1skullduggery: It is said that Honda used parts that were leftover when necessary. A white bike might end up with a red seat bracuse of an "overstock" of red seats. My Honda identification guide says these were basically unchanged since late 1963 to 1969. But parts "colorwise" may have been interchanged at times apparently.
@SingerUnkn0wn13 жыл бұрын
@absolutsoju The front drum brakes work pretty well, but on this bike they prob need changed. This is an Around town bike, you dont want to be getting out on the highway and doing 70mph although it will go over 80.

I told him i just want to know its running. he calls back and said when he hooked the battery up the starter button was stuck on, and it fired right up scaring the crud out of him. so he said, tell you what, im dont messing with it, if you come up you can have it for 2k. I officially hate you! What you have is a proper motorcycle...a two-wheeled 'work of art!'( I currently own an '08 'Metropolitan' in mint condition, complete w/performance upgrades, in the 'Gothic' color scheme of gloss-black and gloss-gray...it's as quiet as a tomb and 'tracks' like a locomotive! )I'll keep it forever! ('forever' is not long for me at 63) But, still...that 'Dream' has such an esthetic quality to it...like the 1930's "Indians" had. ( oddly...I constantly get 'compliments' from people over the 'Metro' whenever I park somewhere...something I never expected to happen)
