Hey, i just got one of the classic update harness from you guys and was wondering what the best way to make the hole in the firewall bigger for the new bulkhead?

You could use a step-drill (our first choice), or you could use a hole saw. Both methods work fine, but we have found it easier to control a step-drill when making an existing hole larger.

So you just leave that electrical tape on, I assume you did that on both sides?
