Very classy move to put grandpa‘s tools in the back. That will always be his truck!

Hey there, this morning I finally got the chance to witness one of these Derelict builds in person at my local Cars and Coffee and it happened to be this one! I completely underestimated how unassuming these are in person. This one in particular was sporting some dirt and rain staining so it was even further disguised. Barely anyone stopped to look at it. Great job Jon and kudos to the team at Icon!

It's so easy to get carried away with these types of projects. The real craft is knowing when to keep something as part of the truck's history like weird little welded plate on the tailgate. Super rad to leave the history with it.

I watched this video then had lunch at Los Toros in Chatsworth today. Walked out and find it in the parking lot. Quite surreal. Must have missed John for lunch!

I have loved the Derelict builds since I first saw your wagon on Lenos channel. And a Bronco Derelict is perfection. The only thing I would want if this were mine is the interior led's running the length of the interior. But that's just me. Great video great Bronco.

I feel like I'm looking at my own 71 Boxwood Green. Same patina, same front bench and bulkhead, etc. Got it from my Dad. I've added a white roll cage, rear tumbling seat, too. Original 302, but added PS, front discs, swapped to 4 speed auto, 1.5" lift. Very similar ethos to this build, except I kept the bench and no Coyote. Really neat to see someone else going the same route.

Hello Jonathan, I really enjoy what you can do with cars and love the derelict editions. Even if the end result is out of my league and sadly I won't be your customer any time soon. Having said that, a fellow KZbinr "Nathan's BMW Shop" has a BMW 1600 he desperately wants to sell. He has done a presentation of this car and it literally shouts derelict but under the skin it is a hard car with only superficial rust that can best be described as patina. If you ever had ambitions to do a BMW 2002 series, that car is worth looking at.

Jonathan, Do you keep the dash (and the door panels, for that matter) in the original "Parchment" color or is this Wimbledon White? I ask because the dash looks to match the top interior exactly and my understanding is that Parchment is a wee bit warmer than WW. I'm debating whether to go with Parchment of WW for my dash. Thanks Thanks! 🙏🏼❗

Great rig. I would not have lifted it that much though. The look of the original would have make it much more of a true derelict. You can clearly see all the new stuff underneath.
