That Simplicity 2012 is in fantastic original condition. Love them old, rugged Simplicity's. Back in 1998 I was given a Simplicity Landlord 101 that was all original and spent its life while not in use in the garage. The elderly couple who bought it new in 1966 were selling their home and moving to Arizona. The young couple who bought their home had no use for the old Simplicity. I was told by my dad who lived next door to them, if I wanted the Simplicity, the 42-inch cutting deck and dozer blade I could have it free. I jumped right on the offer and went right over and brought everything back to my dad's out building and then began to see what this old machine needed to get back to good running order. It didn't need much. An oil change, new spark plug and points and condenser got it running. I was amazed what good shape the metal gas tank was in. I did have to replace the fuel lines and the carburetor to my surprise didn't any cleaning. The vinyl on seat was cracked in a few places and was dried out to the point there was no bringing the vinyl back to life. I did repaint the white which always rusts on these old machines. New tires as well. The orange is still in good shape but has a few scratches here and there. For a garden tractor that is 57 years old and still starts and runs extremely well, not much to complain about. I have cut grass with, but it doesn't cut grass like these newer high speed cutting decks. A few winters I did push snow with the dozer blade, I also forgot to mention the set of tire chains that also came with the tractor. I missed out on the snow blower and bottom plow that the young couple gave away to someone else. It is too bad Briggs & Stratton is dropping the Simplicity and Snapper brands. For those who still cut their own grass, many opt for the more affordable MTD and the like brands. I have a 2004 Simplicity Legacy XL 4x4 with the 27 HP liquid cooled Kawasaki engine and this had been a great compact tractor for moving snow in the winter. Simplicity was always known for well-built and long-lasting machines. They will be greatly missed. Thanks for sharing your fabulous find.

I see another rare one peeking out of the shed at the beginning of the video. There aren't many White garden tractors out there.

A lawnmower too nice to mow grass? Me thinks someone needs a reality slap.

It’s a nice original. He’s just saying he wants to keep it that way.
